How to Download CG SET Admit Card 2026

• Go to the official CGSSB website — cgssb.cgstate.gov.in
• Open the “Admit Card” or “Recruitment” section
• Click on the “CG SET Admit Card 2026” link
• Enter your registration number and password / date of birth
• Your admit card will appear on the screen
• Download it and take a clear printout to carry to the exam

Cannot Download Your Admit Card? Try These Fixes

• Check that your registration number and password/date of birth are typed correctly
• If you forgot your password, use the “Forgot Password” option on the login page
• The website may be slow on release day — try again after some time
• Clear your browser cache or try a different browser (Chrome or Firefox), preferably on a laptop or desktop
• Check the SMS/email sent by the board for the download link

Important: Check every detail carefully as soon as you download the admit card. If there is any mistake in your name, photo, subject or exam centre, contact the CGSSB authorities immediately, so that it can be fixed before the exam day.

Exam Day Guidelines

• Reach the exam centre early — the main entry gate closes 30 minutes before the exam starts (9:30 AM for Paper I and 1:30 PM for Paper II). Late candidates are usually not allowed inside
• Carry your printed admit card and a valid original photo ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN Card, Driving Licence, etc.)
• The exam is a pen-and-paper (OMR-based) test, so carry a black/blue ball point pen as per the instructions on your admit card
• Mobile phones, smartwatches and other electronic gadgets are usually not allowed inside the exam hall — leave them at home
• Read the instructions printed on the admit card and the question booklet carefully before you start marking your OMR sheet

CG SET 2026 Exam Pattern

The exam has two objective-type (multiple-choice) papers held on the same day. There is no negative marking in either paper, so you do not lose marks for wrong answers.

Qualifying Marks (Pass Marks)

• To pass CG SET, candidates must score at least the category-wise qualifying marks set by the board
• For the General category, the minimum is reported as 40% aggregate across Paper I and Paper II
• Reserved categories get relaxed qualifying marks as per the official notification
• The board will release the official category-wise cut off along with the result

What Happens After the Exam?

• Answer key will be released by the board after the exam (date not announced yet)
• Result and category-wise cut off will be declared on the official website
• Candidates who pass must submit proof of their qualifications within the time given by the board — if they fail to do so, their eligibility may be cancelled
• Remember that Paper II is checked only for the subject selected in the application, and the selected subject should match your postgraduate qualification

Last-Minute Preparation Tips for CG SET 2026

• Since there is no negative marking, try to attempt all questions in both papers — even an educated guess can add to your score
• Give proper time to Paper I topics like teaching aptitude, research aptitude, reasoning, comprehension and general awareness, since this paper is common and easier to score in
• For Paper II, revise the important topics of your subject and solve previous year papers or mock tests to improve speed
• Practice marking answers on an OMR sheet at home so that you do not waste time or make marking mistakes on exam day
• There are two papers on the same day with a gap between them — plan your food, water and rest so you stay fresh for the afternoon paper
• Locate your exam centre in advance, and if it is in another city, travel a day before
