Age Limit and Relaxation

Particulars Age
Minimum age 18 years
Maximum age 40 years
Upper age relaxation 5 years for eligible categories

Salary — What ‘Fixed Pay’ Means

Post Monthly Fixed Pay | Pay Level
Extension Officer (Industry) ₹26,025 | Level 10
Field Assistant ₹16,050 | Level 7
Junior Store Keeper ₹16,050 | Level 7
Selected candidates get revised fixed monthly pay under the Tripura State Pay Matrix, 2018. The notice says the fixed pay is calculated at 75% of the basic pay of the matching pay level. This also lets us do a simple calculation. If ₹26,025 is 75%, the full basic pay at that level is ₹26,025 ÷ 0.75 = ₹34,700. If ₹16,050 is 75%, the full basic pay is ₹16,050 ÷ 0.75 = ₹21,400. This is only a calculation from the notice to help you understand. The notice also warns that these are fixed-pay appointments, so you should not assume that every benefit of a regular pay-scale job will apply automatically.

Selection Process 2026

The selection follows the recruitment rules and syllabus of each post. The advertisement gives full exam details for Extension Officer (Industry). For the other posts, it refers to the rules attached to it.
  1. Written examination
  2. Interview (candidates who are absent from the interview will not be considered for final selection)
  3. Document verification of successful candidates after the written exam result

The exact dates, times and venues will be announced later. No TA or DA is paid for the written exam or the interview.

Extension Officer (Industry) — Written Exam Pattern

Particulars Details
Type of exam Objective multiple choice questions (MCQ), one paper
Total questions 85
Total marks 85
Duration 2 hours 30 minutes
Negative marking Yes — one-fourth of the marks of the question for each wrong answer
Subjects in the paper:
  • General Knowledge – World
  • General Knowledge – India
  • General Knowledge – Tripura
  • General English
  • Basic Mathematical Abilities
  • Aptitude
  • Job-Oriented Knowledge

Simple calculations: If every question carries 1 mark, each wrong answer costs 0.25. Suppose a candidate attempts 70 questions and gets 55 right and 15 wrong. The negative marks are 15 × 0.25 = 3.75, so the score is 55 − 3.75 = 51.25. Also, 150 minutes for 85 questions gives about 1.76 minutes per question. This helps you plan your time.

Field Assistant and Junior Store Keeper — Selection Rules

  • Field Assistant: The selection follows the recruitment rules and syllabus under F.No. DI/ESTT/1-6/2024/Part/, dated 18 March 2026.
  • Junior Store Keeper: The selection follows the recruitment rules and syllabus under F.No. DI/ESTT/1-2/2003, dated 18 March 2026. Check the syllabus for any computer or typing test.

Because these two posts have most of the vacancies (42 of 48), it is very important to read the syllabus papers on the recruitment portal and not depend on guesses or on other websites.

Application Fee

Particulars Fee
Fee per application ₹300
Refund Non-refundable
The fee is the same for all three posts. The advertisement does not mention a separate fee concession for any category. Pay only through the official portal, as per its instructions, and save the payment proof.

How to Apply Online for Tripura Industries Recruitment 2026

  1. Open the official recruitment portal: recruitment.industriestripura.in (from 4 November 2026).
  2. New applicants must complete One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) with their biodata.
  3. A Registration ID will be generated and sent to your registered email address.
  4. Log in with the OTPR Registration ID for the post you want.
  5. Choose the post: Extension Officer (Industry), Field Assistant or Junior Store Keeper, as per your eligibility.
  6. Fill in the personal, educational and other details carefully.
  7. Upload a recent passport-size colour photograph and a scanned image of your full signature in JPG format. Each image must be more than 4 KB and less than 100 KB.
  8. Pay the ₹300 application fee.
  9. Review everything and submit before 4 December 2026, 5:30 PM.
  10. Save the Registration ID, the submitted application and the payment receipt.

Good news: You do not have to upload educational or other certificates in the first online application. Only the photograph and signature are needed. Certificates are asked later, from successful candidates.

Documents You Will Need Later

After the written exam result, successful candidates must send self-attested copies of the following documents, wherever they apply:
  1. Age proof, such as the Madhyamik Admit Card showing the date of birth
  2. Madhyamik and other educational qualification certificates, marksheets and certificates
  3. SC or ST certificate, if applicable
  4. PH or Ex-Servicemen certificate, if applicable
  5. Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate (PRTC)
  6. Experience certificates, if applicable
  7. Any other document needed to show eligibility

The documents must support the information that you wrote in the online form. Government employees must keep a valid No Objection Certificate (NOC), which clearly says that the employer has no objection to the candidate’s application and consideration for recruitment.

Permanent Residence of Tripura — A Key Condition

The advertisement invites applications from Indian nationals having permanent residence in Tripura. This is an essential condition. Keep your PRTC ready for the verification stage. Candidates from other states should not assume they are eligible only because they meet the education rule. If your certificate is not ready, apply for it now, because government offices can take time to issue it.

Which Post Should You Choose?

If you are a graduate: Extension Officer (Industry) has the highest pay (₹26,025) but only 6 posts. The exam is a single MCQ paper with negative marking, and the subjects are clearly listed, so you can plan your study well.

If you have passed Madhyamik: Field Assistant has 38 posts, the most in this notice, with pay of ₹16,050. Junior Store Keeper has only 4 posts, and it needs computer knowledge and 30 wpm English typing, so it suits those who already type well.

If you hold a higher qualification than the post requires: The notice names Madhyamik or equal for Field Assistant and Junior Store Keeper. Please read the PDF rules to confirm whether you can apply for them, before you pay the fee.

Plan for the Days Before 4 November

  1. Today to 2 November: Download the advertisement PDF and read it fully. Confirm that you are a permanent resident of Tripura and choose your post.
  2. 2 to 3 November: Prepare a clear colour photograph and a signature image in JPG, each between 4 KB and 100 KB. Keep your email ID active.
  3. 4 November: Start OTPR registration, and note your Registration ID from your email.
  4. Next few days: Fill the application and pay the fee. Do not keep it for the last week.
  5. Till 4 December: Keep checking the portal for notices, the syllabus and exam dates.

Simple Preparation Tips

  • Extension Officer: Study General Knowledge of the world, India and Tripura, General English, basic maths, aptitude and subject knowledge about industry. Solve timed MCQs, and attempt only the questions where you can remove at least two options, because of the negative marking.
  • Field Assistant: Read the syllabus given with the rules. Practise Bengali or Kokborok if you know them, since the notice lists them as desirable.
  • Junior Store Keeper: Practise English typing daily and learn basic computer work such as documents and simple spreadsheets. At 30 words per minute you type about 150 words in 5 minutes.
  • Everyone: Keep a small file with your Madhyamik admit card, certificates, caste or PH certificates if needed, and your PRTC.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Applying without permanent residence of Tripura.
  • Uploading a photograph or signature that is below 4 KB or above 100 KB, or not in JPG.
  • Typing a wrong email ID, because the Registration ID is sent by email.
  • Not saving the payment proof and the submitted application.
  • Applying for a post for which you do not have the full qualification, such as Junior Store Keeper without the typing and computer skill.
  • Waiting until the last day, when the portal may be slow.
  • Forgetting the NOC, if you are already a government employee.
  • Trusting social media for dates instead of the official portal.
