SSC JHT Result 2026 in Simple Words
SSC held the Combined Hindi Translators Examination in two papers. Paper I was an objective test and Paper II was a descriptive test. After that, candidates gave their preferences for posts and departments. On 5 November 2026, SSC used the marks of both papers, the merit rank and the preferences to make the first list of provisional allotments. This is called the First Round of Tentative Allocation, or FRTA.
In this round, SSC has provisionally recommended 532 candidates. The next step is the Sliding Process and Identification Verification, which is held in person on 18 November 2026 in the cities of SSC Regional Offices. SSC introduced the sliding mechanism so that the vacancies that remain unfilled, for example because some candidates do not join, can be filled through another round of allocation under its rules.
This page gives you the result facts, the cut-off marks that SSC published, the verification plan, and tips so that you do not miss any step. All numbers are from the SSC result and notice as reported, and any extra explanation is clearly marked.

What Is the Sliding Mechanism? – Simple Explanation
- SSC tries to fill all the notified vacancies. Some candidates do not join their allotted posts, so vacancies can remain unfilled.
- To reduce this, SSC has introduced a sliding mechanism, as reported by Careers360 and the SSC notice summary. Under this, a further allocation can be done under the Commission’s rules.
- Provisionally recommended candidates must take part in the physical verification related to this process.
- The detailed rules of the later round are in the SSC notice. Read them carefully.
Salary – What Is Reported
- Careers360 reports the pay of Junior Hindi Translator as Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month. Other posts have their own pay levels.
- The result notice does not give salary details. Please check the original SSC notification for each post.
If You Are Not in the Recommended List
- Check the allocation PDF again with your exact roll number.
- Read the result notice for withheld and rejected cases.
- SSC says marks of shortlisted and non-shortlisted candidates will be uploaded after the final result is declared.
- Keep watching ssc.gov.in for the final result and later notices.
- The notice speaks about the physical process only for the recommended candidates. Whether others will be considered later is not stated in the source.
