• Visit the official UPPSC website: uppsc.up.nic.in
• Go to the “News / Results” section on the homepage
• Click on the link for the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (Main) Examination 2025 Result
• A PDF file (16 pages) containing all qualified roll numbers will open
• Use Ctrl + F (on a computer) or the search option in your PDF viewer to quickly find your roll number
• Save the PDF or take a screenshot of the page showing your roll number for future reference

How Many Candidates Appeared and How Many Cleared

Out of the 814 total vacancies spread across 28 categories of posts, 2 vacancies belonging to one particular post will be filled purely on the basis of the written (Mains) examination, without an interview. The result for that post is not part of the present interview list — it will be announced together with the final selection result. This is why the interview list of 2,297 candidates corresponds to only 812 of the 814 total vacancies.

Important Legal Conditions Attached to This Result

• Writ Petition No. 4253 of 2026: The result of the petitioner in the case Archit Shivam Mishra vs State of U.P. and others will remain subject to the final decision of the Hon’ble High Court.
• Special Appeal No. 475 (D) of 2019: The result of female candidates from outside Uttar Pradesh will remain subject to the final judgment of the Hon’ble High Court in the special appeal filed by the State Government.

This means the overall result and these specific candidates’ status could change depending on how these court matters are finally decided.

What Happens Next?

• UPPSC will issue a separate detailed advertisement explaining which posts each qualified candidate is eligible for, based on their preferences and the Mains marks (once released)
• This detailed advertisement will also carry the arrangements for the interview / personality test, such as schedule and reporting instructions
• Shortlisted candidates should regularly check uppsc.up.nic.in for the interview application form, document verification requirements and the interview date
• Keep your educational certificates, category certificates, identity proof and other documents ready in advance, as these are usually required at the document verification / interview stage
