NEET PG 2026 Cutoff — What Has Been Released
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the NEET PG 2026 cutoff along with the NEET PG 2026 result on 24 September 2026. The cutoff is the minimum qualifying percentile — and the corresponding mark out of 720 — that a candidate must secure to be eligible for NEET PG counselling for MD, MS, PG Diploma, DNB, and DrNB seats. Only candidates who meet their category’s qualifying percentile can register for counselling; those who fall short are not eligible for the current cycle.
Note: As per the result data, 12,111 candidates scored 500 marks or above, 29,130 candidates scored 450 or above, and 51,729 candidates scored 400 or more, out of the total 720 marks.

What Happens After NEET PG Cutoff — Counselling Process
Candidates who meet the qualifying cutoff become eligible to register for NEET PG counselling, which allots seats in MD, MS, PG Diploma, and DNB courses. As per the general NEET PG counselling structure followed in recent years:
- All India Quota (AIQ): 50% of government medical college seats, plus 100% of seats in Central Institutes, Deemed Universities, and ESIC hospitals, are counselled by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at mcc.nic.in
- State Quota: The remaining 50% government seats and all private medical college seats are counselled separately by each state’s own counselling authority
- Counselling Rounds: Typically conducted in 4 rounds — Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round — for both AIQ and state quota, held separately
- Candidates can register and participate in both AIQ and state quota counselling simultaneously, subject to each authority’s eligibility and exit rules
