• Visit the official university website psou.ac.in
• Open the Recruitment or Jobs section and find Advertisement No. 01/2026
• Open the online application facility and register with a valid email ID and mobile number
• Select the post you are applying for and enter your personal details
• Fill in your education, experience and category details
• Upload your photograph and signature and other documents asked
• For Assistant Professor posts, enter your academic and research scores
• Pay the application fee with GST
• Check the whole form once more and submit it before 15 November 2026
• Download and print your application. The notice asks for five printouts
• Attach your photograph and self-attested copies of your documents
• Send everything to the Registrar so that it reaches by 23 November 2026, 5:00 PM

Educational Qualification — Post-Wise (Summary)

Post-Wise Eligibility in Simple Words

• Assistant Professor (2 posts): You need a Master’s degree in the subject with at least 55%, and you must have qualified NET, SLET or SET, unless UGC rules give you an exemption. UGC relaxations apply
• Assistant Registrar (1 post, SC): Either a Master’s degree or LL.B. with experience, or a long university service of at least 20 years. Both routes need Punjabi up to Matriculation
• Superintendent (2 posts): This is mainly for people who already work as Superintendent or have long administrative experience. It is not for fresh graduates
• System Administrator (1 post): This needs 10 years of experience in system or network work. Skills with Windows, Linux, networking, firewalls and VPN are desirable
• Programmer (1 post, SC): This needs 3 years of programming experience. Java, .NET, C#, PHP, Python, databases and cloud skills are desirable
• Senior Assistant (2 posts): This is for graduates with 5 years of clerical experience and computer training. You must also pass typing and skill tests
• Law Researcher (1 post, contract): This is for enrolled advocates. Experience in service law, writs, civil matters, contracts, RTI, arbitration or constitutional law is preferred

• The advertisement, as summarised by Karmasandhan, says the age limit will follow the applicable UGC and Punjab Government rules, and gives no separate numbers
• Two other job portals report an age limit of 18 to 37 years, calculated as on 15 November 2026, with relaxation as per rules

• Submitting only the online form and forgetting the hard copy
• Sending the hard copy so late that it reaches after 5:00 PM on 23 November
