This week (until 10 November) Check your roll number. Collect certificates and the educational proof. Read the UPSC notice carefully.
11 to 20 November Complete the online form. Do not rush the answers. Keep a PDF of the submitted form.
20 to 25 November Final check and submission, if not done. Save the reference number.
After submission Analyse your own form: hometown, hobbies, education, work, optional subject and service preferences. Prepare honest answers.
Next weeks Read newspapers daily. Practise short answers on current issues. Join mock interviews, if possible.
Before the interview Plan your formal dress and travel. Keep original documents and e-Summon Letter printouts ready.
  • The interview tests your personality and clarity, not only facts. Be honest and calm.
  • Everything you write in the form can be asked. Do not write anything you cannot explain.
  • Keep checking upsc.gov.in for the schedule.

Note: This plan is general guidance and not an official UPSC instruction.

If You Did Not Qualify – What Next?

  • Check your roll number again, and read the UPSC notice for withheld cases.
  • Marks of non-qualified candidates are also usually uploaded on the UPSC website after the final result, as per UPSC practice. Check the UPSC notice for the exact date.
  • Plan your next attempt after checking the eligibility rules and attempt limits in the next notification.
  • Consider other exams in the meantime, such as state PCS and other central exams.
  • Do not trust any group that promises “backdoor” selection or marks change.
