| Day 4 to 7 | Run 800 metres to 1600 metres at a steady pace. Add one rest day. |
| Day 8 to 10 | Practise your full test distance once or twice with a timer. Work on pace, not on speed only. |
| Day 11 to 12 | Run lightly. Do not push too hard. Sleep early and eat simple home food. |
| Day 13 | Rest. Keep documents ready and visit the route if possible. |
Note: This is a general practice guide. If you feel pain or dizziness, stop and rest. Do not start very hard training suddenly.
PMT Tips – How to Stay Ready for Measurement
- Carry all certificates and documents asked for in the notice. Missing papers can cause trouble at the measurement stage.
- Stand straight and calm during height and chest measurement. Follow the officer’s instructions.
- Do not use any trick or shortcut. Officials check measurements with care, and false attempts can cancel your candidature.
- Wear simple, comfortable clothes that make measurement easy.
- Read the physical standards in the official recruitment notice before the test day.
Smart Tips for Test Day
- Warm up: Spend 10 minutes on stretching and slow jogging before your turn.
- Eat light: Have a simple meal 2 to 3 hours before the test. Avoid oily food.
- Drink water: Sip water in small amounts. Do not drink too much just before the run.
- Start steady: Do not run too fast in the first lap. Keep energy for the end.
- Follow instructions: Listen carefully to the officials and follow their directions.
- Stay calm: Keep your mind relaxed. Nervousness wastes energy.
Food, Water and Sleep Guide Before the Test
- Eat simple home food such as rice, dal, vegetables, eggs and fruit in the last few days.
- Avoid heavy, oily and very spicy food, because it can make you feel slow on the ground.
- Drink enough water through the day, but do not drink a large amount right before the run.
- Sleep for 7 to 8 hours every night. Good sleep helps your body and mind.
- Do not take any unknown medicine, powder or energy drink to improve your run. If you have a health problem, talk to a doctor first.
How to Reach the Venue on Time
- Read the venue address and reporting time on the admit card as soon as you download it.
- Plan your travel one day before and keep extra time for traffic or train delay.
- If the venue is far, think about reaching the city a day early and staying with a relative or at a safe place.
- Keep your phone charged, and keep some cash for travel and food.
- Do not depend on the last bus or train. Late arrival may cost you your chance.
Day-Before Checklist
- Two printed copies of the admit card in one folder
- Original ID proof and other documents asked in the notice
- Route and travel time to the venue checked
- Sports shoes, clothes and water bottle packed
- Alarm set and 7 to 8 hours of sleep

- Check that your application is in the shortlisted list of the result PDF.
- If the problem continues, contact WBPRB through the official website.
