Read This Before You Compare Your Marks
This cut off is for the Document Verification stage. It tells you the lowest normalised score of the candidates who were shortlisted for DV after the CBT and the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). It does not mean that you are selected. Please keep these points in mind:
- The marks are normalised marks, because the CBT was held in many shifts. They are not raw marks.
- Compare your score only with the column of your own category.
- Only candidates who got a DV E-Call Letter can attend DV. The letter shows your date, venue and reporting time.
- Final selection depends on DV, the Medical Examination and the final result.

RRC NFR Group D Cut Off 2026 – Community-Wise Marks

The notice prints a date of birth beside the UR cut off (1 October 2000) and the EWS cut off (14 January 2000). In railway recruitment, candidates with the same marks are usually placed by age, so this shows the age of the last candidate who made the list.
CCAA, ExSM and PwBD Cut Off Marks
| Category | UR | SC | ST | OBC | EWS |
| CCAA | 70.51082 | 70.05426 | 70.23875 | 70.05315 | 70.09796 |

How Does NFR Compare With Another RRC?
Every RRC prepares its own cut off. Here is a comparison with RRC Central Railway for the same CEN 08/2024, as reported on another website.
| Community | RRC NFR | RRC Central Railway (Reported) | NFR Minus CR |
| UR | 78.258 | 80.40142 | −2.14342 |
| OBC | 77.0728 | 79.60466 | −2.53186 |
| EWS | 75.6462 | 76.81271 | −1.16651 |
| SC | 75.1159 | 75.25864 | −0.14274 |
| ST | 68.1924 | 68.90788 | −0.71548 |
In every community, the NFR cut off is lower than the Central Railway cut off. The gap is biggest for OBC (about 2.5 marks) and UR (about 2.1 marks), and it is smallest for SC (about 0.14 marks).
How to Read the Cut Off and Check Your Position
- Find your normalised score from your CBT scorecard.
- Pick the correct table: community-wise, or CCAA / ExSM / PwBD.
- Look at the column of your category and compare the numbers.
- If your score is equal to or above the cut off and you were shortlisted, check your DV E-Call Letter on the official website.
- If you did not get an E-Call Letter, check the notice and the shortlist PDF for your roll number.
Selection Process – Level-1 Posts
| Stage | Status |
| Stage 1 – Computer Based Test (CBT) | Completed |
| Stage 2 – Physical Efficiency Test (PET) | Completed |
| Stage 3 – Document Verification (DV) | 26 October to 6 November 2026 |
| Stage 4 – Medical Examination | After DV, as per the notice |
Important Instructions for Document Verification
- Read the DV E-Call Letter and every notice on the RRC website carefully. If you do not follow them, your candidature can be cancelled.
- Reach the venue well before the reporting time and carry a printout of the E-Call Letter. Late arrival may lead to disqualification.
- Carry four recent colour passport-size photographs, the same as the photo uploaded in your application.
- If you wear spectacles, meet an eye specialist and get them corrected before DV.
- Aadhaar-based biometric authentication is done on a voluntary basis to stop impersonation.
- Carry your original Aadhaar Card for DV and the Medical Examination.
- The decisions of RRB and RRC on eligibility, wrong information and selection are final. No letters or emails will be answered.
- Using unfair means or sending a substitute can lead to disqualification, a ban from all RRB and RRC exams, and legal action.
Documents to Carry for DV
- DV E-Call Letter printout
- Four recent colour passport-size photographs
- Original Aadhaar Card
- All other certificates listed in your E-Call Letter, in original with copies
- Category, CCAA, ExSM or PwBD certificate, if you applied under that group
The notice names only the first three items. The full list is in your E-Call Letter and the detailed notice, so please read both before you pack your folder.
Why Are the Marks Normalised? – Simple Explanation
The Group D CBT was held on many days and in many shifts. One shift may have an easier paper and another may have a tougher paper. If raw marks were used, candidates of the easy shift would get an unfair advantage. So the board uses a normalisation method to bring the scores of all shifts to the same level. That is why your final score can be a little higher or lower than your raw score, and why the cut off has decimals like 78.258. Always use the normalised score shown in your scorecard.
Your Journey So Far – CEN 08/2024
- You wrote the CBT, and your score was normalised across shifts.
- You cleared the Physical Efficiency Test and were shortlisted by merit.
- You are now at the Document Verification stage, where your papers are matched with your application.
- The Medical Examination comes next, and then the final result.
Your DV Day Checklist
| When | What to Do |
| 3 days before | Print the E-Call Letter. Arrange photos and all originals. Check the venue and route. |
| 1 day before | Put everything in one folder in the correct order. Charge your phone and sleep early. |
| On the day | Reach early with your folder. Keep the E-Call Letter and Aadhaar ready at hand. |
| At the desk | Answer calmly. Do not argue about the cut off. Follow the staff instructions. |
If Your Marks Are Close to the Cut Off
- Do not worry if your marks are slightly above the cut off. Being shortlisted means you were already inside the list.
- Do not trust anyone who promises to increase your marks or your rank. All decisions are made by the RRC.
- Spend your time on your documents. A missing or wrong document can cancel your chance even when your marks are high.
- Keep a spare set of photocopies for every certificate. It helps if the officer asks for an extra copy.
If Your Name or Details Do Not Match
Sometimes the spelling of a name or a parent’s name is different in two documents. Read your E-Call Letter and the notice for the instructions about this. In some RRC notices for the same CEN, an affidavit is asked for such cases. Prepare the papers early, because you will not get extra time on the DV day.
Medical Examination – Be Ready
After DV, the Medical Examination is the last stage. Railway Level-1 posts involve physical work, so good health matters. Keep your eyesight corrected, rest well and avoid any injury before the tests. Follow the medical instructions in your call letter and carry the documents asked for.
Quick Recap for Candidates
RRC NFR has released the final normalised cut off for CEN 08/2024 Level-1 posts in a notice dated 15 October 2026. The UR cut off is 78.258, and the ST cut off is 68.1924. Document Verification will be held from 26 to 30 October and 2 to 6 November 2026. Download your E-Call Letter, keep four photos and the original Aadhaar Card ready, and use only the official website for any update.
What Happens After Document Verification?
Candidates who pass DV are called for the Medical Examination. After the medical, RRC prepares the final result and the panel for the posts. The dates for the medical examination and the final result are not announced yet. Keep your phone number and email active, and check the official NFR website after your DV day. Until the final result is out, do not stop your preparation for other railway and government exams.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Comparing your raw marks with the normalised cut off
- Looking at the wrong category column
- Going to DV without a printed E-Call Letter
- Carrying photos that do not match the one in your application
- Forgetting the original Aadhaar Card
- Reaching the venue late and losing the chance
- Trusting social media posts with wrong dates or fake cut off lists
