How to Apply (As Per Reference Page)

  1. Register on the NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in) and note your Enrolment ID.
  2. Log in to NATS, open the UCO Bank apprenticeship advertisement and apply for one State or UT.
  3. Watch your email for a message from BFSI SSC asking for your category, preferred districts and fee payment.
  4. By 29 October 2026, submit your details and pay the fee at beep.bfsissc.com. Details must match your NATS profile.
  5. Upload your photo, signature, date of birth proof, graduation certificates and other documents when asked.
  6. Take the online test on 7 November 2026 using the link sent to your email.

I could not confirm these steps in the official PDF, so please read the application section of the official advertisement before you apply. Use only official links: uco.bank.in, nats.education.gov.in and beep.bfsissc.com.

How the Online Test Is Taken (As Per Reference Page)

  • The test is taken from your home on a device with a camera
  • Aadhaar card is shown for identity capture
  • Candidates should be alone while taking the test (PwBD rule is unclear)
  • Test the camera, internet and device a day before
  • The test is conducted by the BFSI Sector Skill Council of India

Details of the test rules will come on your email. Read them carefully.

Documents Required

  • Recent photograph and signature
  • Date of birth proof
  • Graduation certificates and mark sheets (CGPA converted to percentage)
  • Caste certificate, if applicable
  • OBC (NCL) certificate issued on or after 1 April 2026
  • EWS Income and Asset Certificate valid for 2026-27
  • PwBD certificate (UDID accepted; a medical board may check again)
  • Original documents at verification
  • Your name must match your certificates exactly

Travel cost for document verification is paid by the candidate.

Local Language Test (Very Important)

You must know the local language of the State or UT you choose, including reading, writing, speaking and understanding. The test is held during document verification. If you fail, you will not be engaged. You are exempt if your 10th or 12th mark sheet shows you studied that language. Choose your State carefully.

Points to Check Before You Apply

  • Conflict on multiple applications: one line says multiple applications will be rejected and another says the last valid application is considered. Apply once only to be safe.
  • Exam medium: only the General Awareness section is shown in English or Hindi in the sources.
  • Fee payment and details must be completed by 29 October 2026.
  • Your name and details on NATS must match your certificates.
  • The bank may change vacancies after the notice.

Tips for Candidates (General Advice)

  • Start NATS registration early; this can take time.
  • Keep scanned documents in the right size and format.
  • Solve a mock test of 60 minutes every day for two weeks.
  • Revise percentage, ratio, series, grammar and banking news.
  • Do not trust agents or unofficial pages that ask for money.

Benefits of Doing Apprenticeship (General Information)

  • You learn real banking work such as customer service, deposits, loans and basic accounts.
  • You get a monthly stipend for one year.
  • The experience and certificate can help you in future bank exams and interviews.
  • You get to work in a bank branch in the State you choose.

An apprenticeship does not promise a permanent job. Please read the advertisement for the exact terms of engagement.

Simple Timeline: What to Do and When (General Advice)

Date Task

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Choosing a State without checking the local language rule.
  • Giving different names or dates on NATS and on the fee page.
  • Waiting for the last day; payment pages can be slow.
  • Applying more than once.
  • Uploading blurred photos or the wrong size documents.
  • Not testing your camera and internet before the online exam.
  • Trusting unofficial sites that ask for extra money.

Section-wise Preparation Guide (General Advice)

  • General / Financial Awareness: read banking and economy news of the last six months and learn basic terms such as RBI, repo rate, KYC, UPI and NPA.
  • General English: practise reading comprehension, error spotting and vocabulary for 30 minutes every day.
  • Reasoning and Computer Aptitude: solve series, coding-decoding, seating arrangement and learn basic computer terms and shortcut keys.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: practise percentage, ratio, average, interest and data interpretation.
  • The official notice gives only the section names, so this is a general guide and not an official syllabus.
