How to Check the KSOU Re-Valuation Result (Step by Step)

  • Open the official KSOU Examination Results page from the link given above
  • Look at the list called KSOU Published Results
  • Find your course and confirm it says Provisional Re-Valuation Result, exam May/June 2026, announced on 19.10.2026
  • Click on the result link of your course
  • Type your register number in the box
  • Click Submit and your result will open
  • Take a screenshot or print it and keep it safe. Compare it with your first result

What Is Re-Valuation? (Simple Explanation)

When KSOU declares the first result of an exam, some students feel that their marks are lower than expected. Such students can apply for re-valuation. In re-valuation, the university checks the answer paper again and publishes a new result. That new result is the Re-Valuation Result.

The word “Provisional” on the portal means the result is shown online for information. The portal does not explain how or when a final marksheet is issued, so please confirm this with the KSOU examination section if you need it for admission, job or scholarship.

  • Regular result: the first result of the exam, for all students
  • Re-valuation result: only for students who applied for re-valuation of one or more papers
  • If you did not apply for re-valuation, you do not need to look at this result. Your regular result stays as it is

How Long Does Re-Valuation Take? A Real Example From KSOU

KSOU releases results course by course, so the time between the first result and the re-valuation result is not fixed. A recent example from the same exam session shows how long it can take:

I Semester M.Sc Botany and Zoology Date
Provisional result (May/June 2026 exam) 24 September 2026
Provisional re-valuation result 14 October 2026
Note: In this example the re-valuation result came about 20 days after the first result. This is only one example, not a promise. Some sites say re-valuation takes 7 to 10 days after the application, but KSOU does not state a fixed time on the pages we checked.

Other KSOU Re-Valuation Results Released This Week

Date Announced Course (May/June 2026 Exam)
14 October 2026 I Semester M.Sc Botany and I Semester M.Sc Zoology
17 October 2026 I Semester M.Sc Chemistry, I and III Semester M.A Sociology
19 October 2026 III Semester M.A Political Science, III Semester M.A English, I Semester B.C.A, I Semester M.S.W
Note: The latest regular results on the portal, as reported, came out on 3 October 2026 for MBA and M.Ed repeaters. Keep checking the portal for your own course.

What to Do After You See Your Re-Valuation Result

  • Compare marks: Keep your first result next to the new result and compare paper by paper
  • Check all details: your name, register number, course, semester, paper names and marks
  • If marks are as expected: Save a copy and wait for the marksheet or notice from the university
  • If you see a mistake in Internal Assessment (IA) marks or paper title: apply for correction within the period mentioned on the portal (see the 30-day rule below)
  • If you are not clear about anything: contact the Registrar (Evaluation) or the KSOU examination section

The 14-Day, 10-Day and 30-Day Rules (Please Read Carefully)

  • 14 days to apply for re-valuation or photocopy: As per the KSOU re-valuation form, an application must reach the university within 14 days from the date the first result is announced on the KSOU website. This is why students must act quickly after the regular result.
  • 10 days to pay the exam fee after a failed re-valuation: As per the same KSOU form, students who are still failing after re-valuation can pay the examination fee without a fine within 10 days from the date the re-valuation result is announced. This is from an older KSOU form, so please confirm the latest rule on the portal.
  • 30 days to report IA marks or paper title mismatch: The portal says that such a mismatch must be reported within 30 days of the result date, with an application and proper documents. Ask KSOU for the exact procedure.
Note: Count your days from the date shown on the result list. For this result, the date is 19 October 2026. A 30-day period from this date ends around 18 November 2026, which is our own counting. Please do not wait for the last day.

Re-Valuation Fee and Application Rules (As Reported)

  • KSOU accepts re-valuation and photocopy requests online on its exam portal. You pay the fee online and download the application and the fee receipt
  • Students can apply for both a photocopy of the answer script and re-valuation. A separate application and fee applies to each paper and each service
  • The fee is not refunded or adjusted once paid
  • One education site reports a fee of ₹600 per paper for UG and ₹800 per paper for PG. This is from a third-party site, so please confirm the current fee on the KSOU portal

How to Apply for Re-Valuation Next Time (Step by Step)

You do not need this step now if you have already applied. It is useful for your next exam.

  • Wait for the regular result of your course and note the date it was announced
  • Open the revaluation and photocopy page on the official KSOU portal (ksouportal.com)
  • Enter your register number and select the paper or papers you want to challenge
  • Choose the service: re-valuation, photocopy or both. Remember that each paper and each service has its own fee
  • Pay the fee online
  • Download the application and the fee receipt and keep both safe
  • Follow any extra instruction on the portal, for example whether a printed copy must be sent to the Registrar (Evaluation). An older KSOU form asked for this, so please read the latest portal notice
  • Do all of this inside the 14-day window and then wait for the re-valuation result on the results page

Smart Tips for KSOU Students

  • Always keep your register number safe. You need it for results, hall tickets and re-valuation
  • Check the official KSOU results page every few days if your result is not on the list yet
  • Take a photocopy of your answer script first if you are not sure about re-valuation. It helps you understand where you lost marks
  • Keep the payment receipt and application copy of your re-valuation request until the result comes
  • Plan your next exam form and fee early, so that you do not lose time if you still have a back paper
  • For any question about internal assessment marks, contact the KSOU evaluation office in writing and keep a copy

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Opening the wrong course or batch and reading someone else’s result
  • Typing the register number wrongly
  • Thinking the online result is the final marksheet. It is marked provisional
  • Missing the 14-day window for re-valuation after the first result
  • Paying the fee on unofficial websites. Always use the official KSOU portal
  • Ignoring an IA marks mismatch and not reporting it within the given period
  • Believing agents who promise to raise marks for money. Nobody can do this
