  • Revaluation or other follow-up notice for this result: not announced yet. Watch the official DAVV website

What Is a Grade List? (Simple Explanation)

DAVV publishes its results in different forms. A Mark List shows marks, a Pass List shows who has passed, and a Grade List shows grades and grade points. Some results come as more than one list, so the same course can appear in different forms on the results page.

A supplementary exam is for students who had a backlog, which means they did not clear one or more papers in the regular exam. The supplementary result tells you whether you have cleared those papers now.

  • Regular (main) result: first result of the exam
  • Supplementary result: result of the backlog exam, like the one released on 19 October 2026
  • RV result: revaluation result for students who applied for re-checking. DAVV lists these with the letters RV

Do Not Mix These Up: Main, Supplementary and RV

Type What It Means for a Student
B.Sc. Year II Main Result Result of the regular exam (April-May 2026 session)
B.Sc. Year II (Supp.) Grade List Result of the supplementary exam. This is the result released on 19 October 2026
RV: B.Sc. Year II Grade List Revaluation result for students who applied for revaluation of the main exam. A separate list is shown on the portal
Note: Check that the entry says (SUPP.) and the date 19-10-2026 before you read your result. If you did not give the supplementary exam, this list is not for you.

How to Read Your Result in the PDF

DAVV lists usually show a row for each student. Based on the format of DAVV result lists, you may see the following items:

  • Serial number and enrolment number
  • Roll number
  • Student name and father’s name
  • Grade or grade point average such as SGPA, CGPA or AGPA, depending on the course
  • Result status, for example Pass, Supplementary or Fail
  • A remark such as With Held, if the result is kept on hold for some reason
Note: The exact columns of the B.Sc. Year II supplementary PDF may be different. We could not open the PDF ourselves, so this list is based on how DAVV results are usually shown. If you see ‘With Held’ next to your name, please contact your college and the university examination section.

DAVV Grading System — Simple Guide

Grade Grade Point | Meaning
O 10 | Outstanding
A+ 9 | Excellent
A 8 | Very Good
B+ 7 | Good
B 6 | Above Average
C 5 | Average
P 4 | Pass
F 0 | Fail
Note: DAVV uses a 10-point credit based grading system for most programmes. The grade letters and points above are the same on the education sites we checked, but the percentage range for each grade differs from site to site, so we have not given percentages. Please see the university rules for the exact bands.

How SGPA and CGPA Work (With a Simple Example)

  • SGPA is the Semester Grade Point Average. CGPA is the Cumulative Grade Point Average of all the semesters or years completed so far
  • In general, a grade point average is found by multiplying the credits of each paper by its grade point, adding them, and dividing by the total credits
  • Example (our own, only to explain): Paper A has 4 credits and grade B+ (7). Paper B has 4 credits and grade A (8). Paper C has 2 credits and grade P (4). Total = (4 × 7) + (4 × 8) + (2 × 4) = 28 + 32 + 8 = 68. Total credits = 10. The average = 68 ÷ 10 = 6.8
  • Your own credits and rules are in the university scheme for B.Sc. Year II, so please use that for the real calculation
