How to Check the GTU Re-check Re-Assess Result (Step by Step)

  • Look at the table above and find your programme, semester and category (Regular or Remedial)
  • Click on the matching Check Result link. You can also open the official GTU result page
  • Follow the instructions shown on the result page and enter your details, such as your enrolment number
  • Your re-check / re-assess result will open on the screen
  • Read your subject-wise result carefully and compare it with your earlier result
  • Save or print a copy for your records

Regular vs Remedial — What Is the Difference?

  • Regular: for students who gave the exam in the normal way in the May 2026 session
  • Remedial: for students who gave the remedial exam in the May 2026 session. In general, a remedial exam is the chance given to students who have backlog subjects to clear them
  • The two categories have different result links, so a student who opens the wrong one will not find his or her own result
  • If you are not sure which category you were in, look at your admit card or exam form of May 2026

What Is Re-check and What Is Re-Assess? (Simple Explanation)

When GTU announces the first result of an exam, students who are not happy with their marks can apply for re-checking or re-assessment by paying a fee. The two words mean slightly different things:

  • Re-checking: the answer script is checked again for totalling errors or unmarked answers. It is a basic check
  • Re-assessment: a more thorough re-evaluation of the answers
  • The result you see now is the outcome of that second check for the students who applied
  • If you did not apply for re-check or re-assessment, your first result stays as it is
Note: The meaning of re-check and re-assessment above is from an education site that explains the GTU process. GTU’s own rules and wording are given on the GTU result portal.

Important Dates and Timeline

  • Exam session: May 2026
  • Re-check / Re-Assess results for BB, DV and MCA: 19 October 2026
  • Any further notice about these results: not announced yet
  • Remedial and next semester dates: as per the official GTU notices
Note: One other website reports a different date, 17 October 2026, for a group of GTU re-check results. We follow the result list dated 19 October 2026 for the eight links in this post. Please confirm the date on the official result page.

How Long Is the Application Window Usually? (Past GTU Examples)

GTU gives only a short time to apply for re-check or re-assessment after a result. These past examples will help students plan for the next time:

Example What Was Reported
IC and PGDDM results (July 2026) Results were announced on 8 July 2026 and the last date to apply online for re-check / re-assess was 11 July 2026, which is only 3 days later
General GTU rule (earlier report) Result related queries are accepted only within 15 days from the result date. After that, no requests are taken
Another education site Students must apply within a few days of the result date, before the deadline shown on the result page
Note: The rule can be different for each result. Always read the deadline shown on your own result page. GTU does not take requests after the last date, as reported.

Re-check Fee and Rules (As Reported)

  • A GTU result page update in August 2026 reported the standard re-check fee as about ₹100 per subject, and said students should confirm the exact fee on their own result page
  • An older report says a student can apply for up to 4 subjects. This older rule may have changed, so please check the current rule
  • The application is made online through the GTU result server or student portal, where you select the subject or subjects, fill in the form and pay the fee
  • Apply only for subjects where you are confident that a checking mistake may have happened
  • Keep the payment receipt and application copy until the new result comes
Note: Fees and limits are reported by education websites and are not copied from the GTU notice. Please confirm them on the GTU portal before paying.

What Details Are Shown on a GTU Result?

  • Student name
  • Enrolment number and seat number
  • Programme or branch and semester
  • Subject-wise marks and grades
  • SGPA and the overall result status
Note: This list is based on how GTU results are usually shown, as described by an education site. The re-check page may show a smaller set of details.

What to Do After You See Your Re-check Re-Assess Result

  • Compare marks: Keep your first result next to the new one and compare subject by subject
  • If marks have improved: Save the new result. Your institute will give the final marksheet
  • If the marks are the same: The second check did not find any change. Plan your next step, such as the remedial exam if needed
  • If you still have a doubt: Talk to your institute exam section. Do not wait for a long time
  • If you have a backlog: Watch the GTU website for the remedial exam form and dates
  • Keep all copies: Keep the result, payment receipt and application copy safe

A Simple Table to Compare Your Old and New Marks

Make a small table like this on paper or on your phone. It will help you see exactly what changed after the second check.

Subject First Result Marks | New Result Marks | Change
Subject 1 Write marks | Write marks | New − Old
Subject 2 Write marks | Write marks | New − Old
Subject 3 Write marks | Write marks | New − Old
Note: This is only a simple template for you. It is not a GTU form.

Result Is Provisional — What Does That Mean?

Education sites report that the online GTU result is provisional and that the final marksheet is given by the institute. This means the result on the screen is for your information. For admission, scholarship or job forms, wait for your original marksheet or follow what the form asks for.

If This Happens, Do This (Simple Guide)

Your Situation What You Can Do
Your marks went up in one or more subjects Save the new result and wait for the final marksheet from your institute. Check that all the changes are shown correctly
Your marks did not change The second check found no change. Look at your remaining subjects and plan for the remedial exam if you still have a backlog
Your result link does not open Check that you opened the right programme, semester and category. Try again after some time, or use the official GTU result page
You did not apply for re-check You do not need these links. Your first result is the one that counts. Watch the GTU website for the remedial exam
You see something wrong in your name or enrolment number Take a screenshot and contact your institute and GTU as soon as possible

Keep These Documents Safe

  • Your first result (before re-check)
  • Your new re-check / re-assess result
  • The application copy and payment receipt of your re-check request
  • Your admit card and enrolment number
  • Your original marksheet when your institute gives it

How to Avoid Missing the Next Deadline

  • As soon as your first result comes, open the result page and read the last date for re-check or re-assessment
  • Set a reminder on your phone for one day before the last date
  • Keep your payment method ready, such as a debit card or UPI, so that you do not lose time
  • Decide the subjects on the same day, because the window can be as short as 3 days, as in the July 2026 example
  • Ask your institute exam section if you are not sure about the process

About GTU Results (Quick Facts)

  • GTU is the state technical university of Gujarat, with its main office in Ahmedabad
  • Results are published on the GTU result page and on a separate result server, which is why the links in this post open on gturesults.in
  • The same course can have regular, remedial and re-check results, each with its own link
  • Programme short codes such as BB, DV and MCA are used by GTU on its result lists. Check the code of your own course on your marksheet or admit card

Smart Tips for GTU Students

  • Keep your enrolment number and seat number safe. You need them for every result and form
  • Check the GTU result page every day after your exam, because the re-check window is short
  • Read the deadline on the result page as soon as the first result comes
  • Do not apply for too many subjects without a reason, because each subject has its own fee
  • Use only the official GTU result page and the linked GTU result server
  • Talk to your institute if you need help with the form or the payment

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Opening the link of another programme, semester or category and thinking your result is missing
  • Mixing up the Regular and the Remedial links
  • Missing the last date to apply for re-check or re-assessment
  • Paying the fee on unofficial websites
  • Not saving the payment receipt and the new result
  • Believing agents or social media posts that promise to increase marks for money. Nobody can do this
  • Thinking that the online result is the final marksheet

Who Should Open These Links?

  • Students of BB Semester 2, DV Semester 1 and 2 and MCA Semester 1 and 2 of the May 2026 exam who applied for re-check or re-assessment
  • Students of the Remedial exam who applied for the second check
  • Parents and guardians who want to see the updated result of a student
  • Students of other programmes should check the GTU result page for their own course
