Do Not Confuse CEN 07/2025 with the New CEN 07/2026

This result is for CEN 07/2025, the undergraduate NTPC recruitment with 3,058 vacancies. Its notification came in October 2025, CBT 1 was held in May and June 2026, and CBT 2 on 17 September 2026.

A different and newer recruitment, with around 1,688 undergraduate posts, is also listed as open for online applications on job websites under a 2026 notification number. Those candidates have not written any exam yet, so they are not part of this result. Always check the CEN number printed on your own scorecard and admit card.

RRB NTPC UG CBT 2 Result 2026 in Simple Words

The Railway Recruitment Boards have declared the second-stage computer-based test (CBT 2) result for the NTPC Undergraduate posts. The result is not one list for all India. Every RRB region has published its own PDF, and you must open the PDF of the RRB where you applied.

These PDFs show roll numbers of candidates who are provisionally shortlisted for the next stage. The roll numbers are written in ascending order, so the list is not a merit rank. If your roll number is in the list, it does not mean you are selected. It only means that you can move to the next stage.

Along with the result, the individual scorecard has been released. Through a login, you can see your own marks and your status. This is very useful, because even if your roll number is not in the PDF, the scorecard shows how you performed.

  6. If your roll number is found, read the instructions for the next stage given in the PDF or notice.

How to Download Your RRB NTPC UG CBT 2 Scorecard

  1. Open the scorecard portal link given on this page, or go through your RRB website.
  2. Select the CEN 07/2025 CBT 2 scorecard option.
  3. Enter your registration number.
  4. Enter your date of birth or password, as asked.
  5. Complete the security check (captcha), if shown.
  6. Click Login or Submit.
  7. Open your scorecard and check your marks and status.
  8. Download and print it.
  • Details you may see on the scorecard: name, roll number, registration number, CEN number, exam stage, CBT 2 marks, normalised score (if applicable) and your qualifying or shortlisting status.
  • The scorecard is the best way to know your performance even when your roll number is not in the shortlist.

What Is Normalisation and Why Does It Matter?

RRB NTPC exams are held in many shifts on different days. Some shifts may have an easier paper and some a harder paper. To keep things fair, RRBs convert raw marks into normalised marks. Reports on the CBT 1 cutoff for this recruitment say it showed the minimum normalised marks needed for shortlisting. So the marks on your scorecard may be normalised, and they can be different from your raw score.

This is why you should not depend on your own raw score or on social media cutoff predictions. Use the scorecard and the official cutoff PDF of your own RRB.

CBT 2 Cutoff 2026 – How to Understand It

  • The cutoff has been released region-wise and category-wise, as reported. The numbers are not given in the source we used, so this page does not show any cutoff marks.
  • Cutoff can be different for each RRB, each post and each category, because it depends on the number of vacancies and the competition.
  • Only compare your marks with the cutoff of your own RRB and your own category.
  • Use the cutoff PDF of your RRB, which is linked from the RRB website.
  • Do not use the cutoff of another railway region, because it can be very different.

Roll Number Not in the List? Here Is What to Do

  • Check the scorecard first. It shows your marks and status.
  • Check that you searched in the PDF of the correct RRB and the correct CEN number (07/2025).
  • Check your roll number again. Type it exactly as on your admit card.
  • If your marks are below the cutoff, you are not shortlisted at this stage. Look at the next recruitment notices of the railways and other departments.
  • Use your scorecard to find weak areas and plan your next exam.
  • Keep checking the RRB website. Some boards publish further notices, such as corrections or additional lists, if any.

Computer-Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST) – What You Must Know

  • CBTST is for the typist posts: Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Clerk cum Typist.
  • Tentative test date: 27 November 2026. The date may change, so watch your RRB website.
  • Exam city intimation is expected about 10 days before the test, and the e-call letter about 4 days before it (as per the source).
  • The CBTST is a qualifying test in earlier NTPC notices. Typing speed rules in earlier NTPC notices were 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi. Please check the CEN 07/2025 notice for the exact speed and rules.
  • You normally have to type in the language you chose, and your typing speed and accuracy are checked on a computer.
  • Candidates not shortlisted for typist posts need not appear for this test.

Note: Typing speed and language rules are from earlier NTPC notices. Please confirm them in the CEN 07/2025 notice and your e-call letter.

How to Prepare for the Typing Test in the Next 4 Weeks

  • Practise on a computer keyboard every day for 30 to 45 minutes.
  • Use free typing software or websites to practise English or Hindi typing in the language you selected.
  • For Hindi typing, learn the keyboard layout used by the test (ask your RRB notice or practise on the layout that the test software uses).
  • Focus on accuracy first. Many mistakes can reduce your net speed.
  • Take a few timed typing tests each week, and note your speed and errors.
  • Learn proper finger placement and avoid looking at the keys.
  • Practise with passages of the type used in exams: paragraphs with punctuation and capital letters.
  • A few days before the test, check your e-call letter, the test city and the reporting time.

Document Verification and Medical Examination – Be Ready

  • Document verification and medical examination are the next stages for shortlisted candidates, as applicable to the post.
  • Keep original documents ready: ID proof, class 10 certificate for date of birth, class 12 marksheet and certificate, category certificate (SC / ST / OBC-NCL / EWS) if you have claimed it, and passport size photographs.
  • Keep all certificates in the format required by the railway notice, because wrong formats can cause rejection.
  • Medical standards depend on the post category in the CEN. Check your eyesight and basic health, and read the medical standards in the notice.
  • Read each RRB notice carefully for dates, venue and the list of documents.

Note: The exact document list and medical standards are in the CEN 07/2025 notice and the notices of your RRB. This page gives only general guidance.

RRB NTPC UG CBT 2 Exam Pattern (General, From Earlier Cycles)

The source does not give the CBT 2 question pattern. In earlier NTPC undergraduate cycles, CBT 2 had General Awareness, Mathematics and General Intelligence and Reasoning, with negative marking for wrong answers. The exact number of questions and marks for CEN 07/2025 are in the official notice. This information is only to help you understand the style of the exam. Please check the official notice for the correct pattern.

Your Action Plan from 31 October to 27 November 2026

31 October Download the result PDF of your RRB. Log in and save your scorecard.
1 to 5 November Check your marks and the cutoff of your RRB and category. Read the next-stage notice.
6 to 16 November If shortlisted for a typist post, practise typing daily. Keep your documents ready for verification.

Result or Scorecard Not Opening? Easy Fixes

  • Check that you are on an official RRB site or the official scorecard login page.
  • Clear the browser cache and try Chrome or Firefox.
  • If the scorecard portal is slow, try again late at night or early in the morning.
  • Check the registration number and date of birth or password carefully.
  • If the PDF is too large, download it and search with Ctrl + F in a PDF reader.
  • If your RRB link is missing, check the Notices page of that RRB again after some time.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Opening the result of the wrong RRB.
  • Mixing up CEN 07/2025 with CEN 07/2026 or with the graduate-level NTPC CEN.
  • Thinking that the roll number position in the PDF is your rank.
  • Believing social media cutoff numbers instead of the RRB cutoff PDF.
  • Ignoring typing practice when applying for typist posts.
  • Missing the e-call letter and city intimation updates.
  • Not saving the scorecard.
  • Paying money to agents who promise selection. RRB does not take money for selection.

Source of Information

The CBT 2 result date, scorecard, region-wise PDF format, next stages, CBTST date and the 21 RRB list are from the FreeJobAlert report dated 30 October 2026. The post-wise vacancies (3,058), CBT 1 dates and result date (24 August 2026) and CBT 2 date are supported by reports from Biharhelp, Careers360, Sarkarijobs, Physics Wallah and others, and by RRB CBT 1 result notices. The explanation of normalisation is based on a report on the CBT 1 cutoff. Typing speed rules and the CBT 2 pattern are from earlier NTPC notices and are marked for confirmation. The action plan and tips are written for this page. We could not open the regional CBT 2 PDFs or the cutoff PDFs, so no cutoff number is given. Please confirm everything on your RRB website.
