Is the Typing Test Qualifying?

• Yes. You must reach the minimum typing speed to remain eligible.
• Typing marks are not added to your CBT score.
• Even with a high CBT score, a candidate who does not qualify the typing test can be out of the selection.
• Final selection also depends on documents, medical standards and other rules in the advertisement.

Typing Test Preparation Tips (Next 2 Weeks)

• Practise typing every day for 30 to 45 minutes on a computer keyboard.
• If you will type in English, aim for at least 40 words per minute in practice. This gives a safety margin over the 35 wpm requirement.
• If you will type in Hindi, practise with the keyboard layout you will be tested on (follow the notice) and aim for a margin above 30 wpm.
• Focus on accuracy first, then speed.
• Use free online typing tests to track your progress.
• Reach the typing centre early and stay calm. Do not change your keyboard habit at the last minute.

Selection Process (As Reported)

• Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Reported as done earlier. Only candidates who cleared them were called for the CBT.
