Read This First – Five Important Points

  • Applications are NOT open yet. The notification came on 2 November 2026, and the online form opens on 10 November 2026 at 10:00 AM. A FreeJobAlert FAQ says it “opened” on 10 November, but today is 2 November.
  • This is a temporary, scheme-based job for 5 years. It is not against any sanctioned post, and it gives no right to regularisation in the Education Department.
  • The pay is a fixed honorarium, not a regular pay scale. It is paid for 10 months in an academic year.
  • TET is compulsory for the posts. Read the post-wise rules about marks in graduation and in the subject.
  • Fee reports differ. One website says Rs. 800 for all categories, one says there is no fee, and the source only says an examination and processing fee is paid online. Read the PDF.

Note: Reserved-category candidates from states other than Himachal Pradesh are treated as General (UR). They get no reservation or fee concession.

HPRCA Teacher Recruitment 2026 in Simple Words

The Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog, the state recruitment commission based at Hamirpur, will select 2,423 teachers for 15 subjects. The teachers will work in CBSE-affiliated Government schools of Himachal Pradesh, which some reports call Schools of Excellence.

These are not regular government posts. The teachers will be engaged under a scheme for 5 years and will get a fixed honorarium of Rs. 30,000 every month for 10 months in a school year. That means about Rs. 3,00,000 in one academic year (our calculation). It is a good chance for qualified candidates with TET to get teaching experience in the state, but you should understand the conditions before you apply.

The selection is only through a written screening test and document verification. There is no interview mentioned. The test can be computer based (CBT), or OMR based when the number of candidates is small.
