Marking Scheme Used for the Result (From Official Notice)

  • The marking scheme follows the UGC-NET guidelines.
  • Each question carries 2 marks. Each correct answer gets +2 marks.
  • There is no negative marking.
  • Unanswered or unattempted questions are not evaluated. Attempted questions are evaluated even if marked for review.
  • If more than one option is correct: +2 marks to those who marked any of the correct options.
  • If all options are correct: +2 marks to everyone who attempted that question.
  • If no option is correct, the question is wrong, or it is dropped: +2 marks to those who attempted it.

Tip: Because there is no negative marking and bonus rules apply only to attempted questions, attempting every question was the best way to score.

Scaling in Geography and Physical Education

  • Geography and Physical Education were held in two shifts, so the university used a scaling formula (based on the mean and standard deviation of each shift) to make scores fair.
  • The standard shift is Shift-I for Geography and Shift-II for Physical Education.
  • After scaling, scores above 300 are counted as 300.
  • This is why one report shows the highest UR cut-off for Physical Education (86.01%). Please confirm in the official PDF.

Rajasthan SET 2026 Cut-Off – Sample From Official Annexure-II

Subject | Category Cut-Off Percentage
Chemical Sciences | UR (Unreserved) 59.33%
Chemical Sciences | UR – PwD (Blind / Low Vision) 40.67%
Chemical Sciences | UR – PwD (LD etc.) 57.33%
Chemical Sciences | EWS 55.33%
Chemical Sciences | EWS – PwD (LD etc.) 44.00%
Chemical Sciences | SC 52.00%
Chemical Sciences | SC – PwD (Blind / Low Vision) 42.00%
  • The cut-off is the aggregate percentage of marks in Part A and Part B out of 300.
  • This table shows only one subject (Chemical Sciences) as a sample. Open Annexure-II of the PDF for your own subject and category.
  • A “–” in the PDF means no cut-off is given for that category and subject.

Is the Result Final? (Please Understand)

  • The notice calls the list “provisionally qualified”.
  • The university says it is not responsible for any printing error and can correct errors later.
  • Qualifying SET gives eligibility only. It is not a job or appointment.
