Why Is the Group C Cut Off Higher Than 60 Marks? Many candidates are confused because the Group C written exam was of 60 marks, but the cut off is 68 marks. This is normal. The cut off is not counted on the written paper alone. The Commission also counts academic marks and experience marks for shortlisting, so the total marks are more than 60. That is why the Group C cut off goes up to 68. The Group D written exam was of 40 marks, and its cut off goes up to 40 marks. Check the notes printed on the official result PDF for the exact break-up of marks. |
How to Check and Download the WBSSC Group C and D Cut Off 2026 PDFThe cut off is given on the result PDF published on the official WBSSC website. Follow these steps to check it.
Note: Some portals also show the website as westbengalssc.gov.in. Use the link that opens the Commission’s official page. The official result PDF is the final reference if any figure differs from a third-party article. |
What Happens After the Cut Off? Interview and Document VerificationCandidates who score at or above the cut off are shortlisted for the interview round, which is the next stage of the selection process. The lists published on 05 November 2026 are the Preliminary Interview Lists. After the interview, candidates will go through document verification. Final selection will be done after successful verification of all details. Interview dates and schedule have not been announced yet. The Commission will publish them separately on westbengalssc.com.
