Minimum Marks Requirement

  • M.E./M.Tech degree: minimum 60% aggregate (average of all semesters) or 6.5 CGPA/CPI on 10-point scale
  • M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech degree: minimum 65% aggregate (average of all semesters) or 6.84 CGPA/CPI on 10-point scale
  • CGPA cannot be converted to percentage to decide eligibility, even if the university has a conversion formula — CGPA as printed must meet the criteria directly
  • Rounding-off of marks/CGPA is NOT allowed

Additional Eligibility for JRF (Post Code 01–07)

JRF applicants must also qualify one of the following, valid as on 30.09.2026:

  • CSIR-UGC NET (including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship)
  • GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering)
  • National level exam by Central Govt bodies — DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.
