What Is a Result Preamble, Main List and Reserve List? (Simple Explanation)

  • Result Preamble: A short notice that RPSC publishes with the result. It explains the result in brief and gives the cut-off marks for the subject
  • Main List: The list of candidates who are provisionally shortlisted on the basis of the cut-off marks
  • Reserve List: A separate list of candidates kept in reserve. They can be considered if some posts remain unfilled from the Main List
  • Cut-off marks: The minimum marks needed to be in the list, usually shown category-wise
  • Being in the Main List does not mean final selection. It means you move to the next stage as per RPSC rules

How to Check RPSC Lecturer Ayurved Result 2026 (Step by Step)

  1. Visit the official website rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in
  2. Open the News or Results section on the homepage (or go to rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in/news)
  3. Find the notice “Result Preamble and Cut-Off Marks for Lecturer (Ayurved Dept.) – 2025” with your subject name
  4. Choose the correct list: Main List or Reserve List
  5. Open the PDF and press Ctrl + F to search your roll number
  6. Read the preamble and note the cut-off marks for your category
  7. Download and save the PDF, and take a printout for your records

What To Check in the Result PDF

Read the whole preamble, not only the roll number list. Small notes at the bottom may tell you about the next stage and important conditions.

  • Your roll number in the Main List or the Reserve List
  • The subject name and recruitment name (Lecturer Ayurved Dept. – 2025)
  • Cut-off marks for your category (General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS and others, as shown)
  • Instructions for the next stage given in the preamble
  • Any note about the number of candidates called or kept in reserve

Understanding Your Position — Main List vs Reserve List vs Not in List

  • If your roll number is in the Main List: You are provisionally shortlisted. Keep your documents ready and wait for the RPSC notice for the next stage
  • If your roll number is in the Reserve List: You are kept in reserve. You may be called later if some posts remain vacant. Keep checking the RPSC website regularly
  • If you are in neither list: Your marks may be below the cut-off in your category and subject. Check the cut-off in the preamble to understand the gap
  • Because only a few posts are available per subject (9 posts in total as per reports), cut-offs can be high and lists can be small
  • Do not compare your marks with candidates of other subjects, because each subject has its own cut-off

Selection Process — What Reports Say

  • As per a report, the selection stages for this recruitment are: Written Exam (CBRT) → Interview → Document Verification
  • The written exam was held on 12 January 2026 in computer-based mode
  • The preamble and the next RPSC notice will tell the exact dates and rules for the interview and verification
  • Please follow only official RPSC notices for the next stage. Rumours on social media can be wrong

Documents to Keep Ready for the Next Stage

  • RPSC admit card and print of the online application form
  • Valid photo ID proof (such as Aadhaar, Voter ID or PAN)
  • Educational qualification certificates and marksheets, including your BAMS and post-graduate (MD / MS Ayurved) degrees in the relevant subject, as required by the advertisement
  • Registration certificate with the relevant Ayurved board or council, if required
  • Category or reservation certificate, if applicable, in the correct format
  • Date of birth proof, such as Class 10 certificate
  • Experience certificates, if the advertisement counts experience
  • Recent passport-size photographs and self-attested photocopies
  • The reference page says no official document list has been released yet. So this list is indicative, and you must follow the official notice when it comes

Tips for Candidates Who Are in the Main or Reserve List

  • Start preparing for the interview now. Revise your core subject from your PG course and the classical texts of your speciality
  • Prepare to explain your academic record, research work, clinical experience and teaching ideas
  • Learn about the Rajasthan Ayurved Department, Ayurved colleges and government schemes in Ayush
  • Practise a short teaching demonstration of 5 to 10 minutes on a topic of your subject, in case it is useful
  • Keep your documents in one folder and make multiple photocopies
  • Check your email, SMS and the SSO ID dashboard regularly, because RPSC messages may come there
  • Avoid agents or groups who promise “setting” or “sure selection”. RPSC does not take money for selection

If You Are Not in the List — What Next?

  • Download the preamble and check the cut-off marks for your category and subject
  • Review your performance, especially in the sections where you lost marks
  • Prepare for other recruitments in Ayush and Ayurved departments across states, such as medical officer, lecturer, assistant professor and research posts
  • Keep your CV, degrees, registration and experience documents updated
  • Keep checking the RPSC website for new notifications and exam calendars
  • Think about teaching, research and clinical practice as parallel options while you prepare again

  • February 2025: Recruitment notification for Lecturer (Ayurved Dept.) – 2025 published, as per reports

  • This shows that RPSC recruitments for small departmental posts can take many months from exam to result. So patience and regular checking of the website are important

How Is the Cut-Off Decided? (General Explanation)

  • RPSC decides cut-off marks subject-wise and category-wise, based on the number of vacancies in each subject and category
  • The cut-off also depends on candidates’ marks. When posts are few and marks are high, the cut-off becomes high
  • Reserved categories have their own cut-off, based on the reservation rules of Rajasthan
  • The Reserve List is prepared in addition to the Main List, as per RPSC rules
  • The exact method and number of candidates called are given in the result preamble. Please read it carefully

Interview Preparation Guide for Ayurved Lecturer Candidates

  • Know your own subject deeply: Revise the classical references, definitions, treatment principles and modern correlation for your speciality
  • Prepare teaching ideas: Think about how you would explain a difficult topic to BAMS students in simple language, with examples and case discussions
  • Know about research: Be ready to discuss your dissertation or thesis, methods, results and what you learned
  • Current Ayush developments: Read about National Ayush Mission, research projects, colleges and policies related to Ayurved education
  • Rajasthan context: Know about Ayurved institutions and services in Rajasthan, and local health needs
  • Personal questions: Prepare honest answers about why you want to teach, your strengths, and how you will handle students and clinical duties
  • Communication: Speak clearly, keep answers short and polite, and say “I do not know” if you really do not know instead of guessing
  • Presentation: Dress neatly and reach early with all documents

Career as an Ayurved Lecturer — General Information

  • A lecturer in an Ayurved college teaches BAMS students and supports clinical training and practical work
  • The role also includes guiding students, taking part in examinations, research and administrative work of the department
  • Promotion usually depends on service rules, experience, publications and qualifying criteria set by the government and regulators
  • A government post gives job security and good growth in academic and clinical fields
  • Lecturers can also take part in research projects, conferences and community health programmes
  • Please read the official service rules of Rajasthan for exact pay, promotion and posting details

Smart Steps for the Next 7 Days

  • Today: Download your subject’s PDFs (Main and Reserve) and the preamble, and save them
  • Tomorrow: Make a list of your documents and check what is missing
  • This week: Make photocopies, self-attest them and arrange them in a folder
  • Every day: Check rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in and your SSO ID dashboard for new notices
  • Start revision: Spend one hour a day on your subject and interview preparation
  • Stay safe online: Ignore fake lists and messages. Trust only the official website
  • Keep your mobile number and email active, because RPSC may send messages there

Common Problems and Easy Solutions

  • Cannot find my subject: The result is out for six subjects only. Check if your subject is in the list. For Agad Tantra and Prasooti Tantra & Stree Roga, wait for a further RPSC notice
  • Roll number not found: Check both the Main List and the Reserve List PDFs, and search the number without spaces
  • Website slow: Try early morning or late night. Use Chrome on a laptop for easier PDF search
  • PDF not opening: Update your PDF reader or use another browser
  • Confusion about cut-off: Read the preamble. The cut-off for each category is written there
  • Not sure about the next stage: Wait for the RPSC notice. Do not rely on rumours

Important Warnings

  • Use only the official RPSC website for results and notices
  • Do not share your SSO ID password, OTP or documents with unknown people
  • Beware of fake lists on social media. Check the PDF is from rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in
