AP Special TET Answer Key 2026 in Simple Words

The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department has released the initial answer key of the Special TET (August 2026 session) on 27 October 2026. The exam was held on computer from 11 to 21 October 2026. Now every candidate can check the correct answers, see his or her own response sheet, find the expected score and raise an objection if some answer looks wrong.

This is the initial key, also called the provisional key. It is not the final answer. The department will study all objections and then release the final key. The final result will be made from the final key, so the marks you count today can change later.

One more point is very important. The key came on 27 October, but the objection window was planned from 25 October to 1 November 2026. So if the date is not changed, you have only a few days left. Please check the official portal today for the current last date.

Who Is This Exam For? – Know Before You Read the Key

  • Special TET is only for eligible in-service teachers who are already working, as covered by the official Information Bulletin.
  • The pass certificate is used for service-related needs such as continuing in the present teaching post or getting promotion, under the rules.
  • The bulletin clearly says this Special TET cannot be used for future direct recruitment. Those who want to join teacher jobs through DSC must qualify in regular AP TET or CTET.
  • The application fee was reported as Rs. 1,000 per paper by education websites (this is for information only, as the exam is over).
  • This is different from the regular AP TET 2026 that was held earlier in August. Their keys and results are separate.

How to Download AP Special TET Initial Answer Key 2026

  1. Open the official website tet2dsc.apcfss.in.
  2. Go to the section “Special TET for In-Service Teachers – August 2026”.
  3. Click on Initial Answer Key or Master Question Paper.
  4. Select your paper (Paper I or Paper II).
  5. Select your subject, medium and exam session, where asked.
  6. Open the matching key and download it.
  7. Save the PDF on your phone or computer.
  8. Compare the answers with your own response sheet.
  9. Mark the questions where you feel the key is wrong, so that you can challenge them before the deadline.

Note: Choose the key of your own paper, subject and session. Many candidates compare with the wrong key and calculate the wrong score.

How to Download Your Response Sheet

A response sheet is your personal record of the answers saved by the computer during your exam. It is different from the master answer key, which is common for all. You can see your response sheet only after login.

  1. Open the Special TET portal sptet.apcfss.in.
  2. Find the candidate response sheet option.
  3. Open the login page.
  4. Enter your registered login details, such as the ones used for your application and hall ticket.
  5. Complete the verification shown on the screen.
  6. Open your response sheet and read it carefully.
  7. Download it and keep a copy.

Total 150 Questions | 150 Marks

Note: The 60-mark subject part depends on your Paper II category. Open the key of your own subject.

How to Calculate Your AP Special TET Score – Step by Step

  1. Download your response sheet.
  2. Download the correct initial answer key.
  3. Compare each answer one by one.
  4. Count the correct answers.
  5. Give 1 mark for each correct answer.
  6. Do not cut any mark for a wrong or unanswered question, because there is no negative marking.
  7. Your total is your estimated score out of 150.

Example: If a candidate has 105 correct answers, the expected score is 105 out of 150. A simple tip is to count subject-wise too. For example, write 22 out of 30 in Child Development and 49 out of 60 in the subject part. This will show you your strong and weak areas.

Note: Your score can change after the final key. Also, one education website says the notification mentions normalisation of marks across shifts. If normalisation is used, your final score can be different from your raw score. Wait for the official result.

Qualifying Marks – AP Special TET 2026

Category Minimum Percentage and Marks
OC / EWS 60% – 90 out of 150
BC 50% – 75 out of 150
SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen 40% – 60 out of 150

Note: These are minimum marks to qualify in the TET. They are not a recruitment cut-off.

Quick Self-Check by Your Expected Score

Expected Score (out of 150) What It Means
Below 60 Below the minimum for every category
60 to 74 Meets the minimum for SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen only
75 to 89 Meets the minimum for BC, and also for SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-Servicemen
90 and above Meets the minimum for all categories including OC / EWS

Note: This table is our simple guide based on the category-wise minimum marks. Your category will be as per your application. Final result is only as per the official result.

How to Raise an Objection Against the Initial Key

  1. Open tet2dsc.apcfss.in and go to the Special TET August 2026 section.
  2. Find the link for objections on the initial key.
  3. Log in if the portal asks for it.
  4. Select the paper, subject and session.
  5. Choose the question number and the answer you want to challenge.
  6. Write the answer you think is correct.
  7. Give a short, clear reason.
  8. Upload or give proof in the way the portal asks, such as a page from a standard textbook.
  9. Check everything once and submit before the deadline.
  10. Save the acknowledgement or screenshot of your objection.
  • One objection should be about one question only. Do not mix many questions in one reason.
  • Use official or standard textbooks (SCERT, NCERT or recognised books) as proof.
  • Write the point simply. For example: “The key shows option B. As per page 45 of the textbook, option C is correct.”
  • Do not challenge every question. Challenge only those where you are sure.
  • The department checks all objections and publishes the final key. One site reports that no further objection is taken on the final key. Please confirm it in the official notice.

What Happens Next? – Final Key and Result

  • After the objection window closes, the department will review the objections with experts.
  • The final answer key is scheduled for 10 November 2026 in the original calendar.
  • The result is scheduled for 15 November 2026 in the original calendar.
  • The result will be made as per the final key, so if some answers are changed, your marks can go up or down.
  • Keep your response sheet and objection acknowledgement safe until the result is out.
  • If the schedule changes, the new dates will be put on the official website.

Problems with Answer Key or Response Sheet? Easy Fixes

  • Check that you are on the official sites: tet2dsc.apcfss.in or sptet.apcfss.in.
  • If the page is slow, try late at night or early in the morning.
  • Use Chrome or Firefox and clear the cache.
  • Re-check your login details. Use the same details as in your application and hall ticket.
  • If your paper or subject key is not showing, check the paper name and session again, or try again after some time.
  • If you still have a problem, write to the Special TET helpdesk or the School Education Department, and keep your hall ticket number ready.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Using the key of another paper, subject or session.
  • Missing the objection date because the key came late.
  • Thinking the initial key is final.
  • Raising weak objections without proof.
  • Not saving the response sheet and the objection acknowledgement.
  • Believing Telegram or WhatsApp messages about “expected cut-off” or “sure pass marks”. Only the official result decides.
  • Confusing Special TET with regular AP TET or the DSC exam.

Smart Tips After You Check Your Score

  • If your expected score is safely above your category minimum, wait for the final key and result. Do not take it as final.
  • If you are close to the minimum, check your doubtful questions once more and challenge the correct ones with proof.
  • Write down the topics where you lost marks, such as child development, language or the subject part.
  • Keep your hall ticket, response sheet and key copies in one folder.
  • Follow notices from the department for the result, certificate download and service-related instructions.
  • If you do not qualify, check the department notices to know about the next chance. This page does not guess any new dates.
