- (i) A B.Sc. (Nursing) degree from a University established/incorporated by a Central or State Act in India, or an institution deemed to be a University under the UGC Act, 1956, and recognised by the Gujarat Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council; OR
- (ii) A Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from an institution recognised by the Gujarat Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council
- (iii) Basic knowledge of computer application, as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967
- (iv) Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi, or both
