What Is Written Inside the Result PDF?
Every RRB publishes a separate PDF. A normal zone-wise PDF has two pages.
Page 1 — Shortlisted Roll Numbers
- Name of the RRB and the CEN number (01/2025)
- Date of the CBT 2 exam and the basis of shortlisting
- 16-digit roll numbers of shortlisted candidates, in ascending order (not merit order)
- Total number of candidates shortlisted for CBAT
- CBAT schedule, city slip details and scorecard instructions
- Notes on provisional candidature, error correction and a warning against touts
- Date of release and signature of the RRB Chairman
Page 2 — Normalised Cut Off Marks
- Category-wise normalised cut off marks (UR, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, EXSM) of the candidates shortlisted for CBAT
Tip: Press Ctrl + F in the PDF and type your 16-digit roll number. If it is found, you are shortlisted.
How to Check RRB ALP CBT 2 Result 2026 — Step by Step
- Go to the official website of the RRB you applied to (list of all 21 RRBs is given below).
- On the home page, open the “Results” or “What’s New” section.
- Click the link “Results of Second Stage Examination (CBT-II) for the post of ALP against CEN 01/2025”.
- The result PDF will open on your screen.
- Press Ctrl + F and search your 16-digit roll number.
- Download the PDF and also keep a printout for future use.
- Do not pay any money to anyone for checking the result. It is completely free.
How to Download Your RRB ALP CBT 2 Scorecard
The result PDF only tells you if you are shortlisted. To see your own marks, you need the scorecard. The scorecard link is active only till 16 October 2026.
- Open your regional RRB website and go to the candidate login / scorecard link for CEN 01/2025 CBT 2.
- Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth.
- Click Submit and your scorecard will open.
- Download it and save a copy in your phone, email and a pen drive.
Why scorecard is important: It shows your marks and qualifying status. You can compare your marks with the cut off of your category and zone, and you will know how strong your position is before CBAT.
RRB ALP CBT 2 Cut Off 2026 — What We Know
RRB has released the cut off marks along with the result PDF. The cut off is zone-wise and category-wise. It is not one single national number, so always check the cut off of your own RRB.
Reported Cut Off — RRB Jammu-Srinagar (CEN 01/2025)
| Category | Cut Off Marks |
| UR | 43.87755 |
| SC | 36.05442 |
| ST | 41.15646 |
| EXSM | 42.17687 |
| OBC / EWS | Not listed in the report we checked — see the RRB PDF |
Note: These numbers are only for RRB Jammu-Srinagar. Other RRBs have their own cut off. We will add more zones as they become available.
Previous Cycle Cut Off for Comparison (CEN 01/2024, RRB Ahmedabad)
| Category | CBT 2 Cut Off (Open) |
| UR | 68.79433 |
| SC | 32.26950 |
| ST | 28.36880 |
| OBC | 56.73759 |
| EWS | 40.42553 |
How to read the cut off:
- The cut off changes from zone to zone because the number of vacancies and the number of candidates are different in every RRB.
- The cut off is on normalised marks, so it can look different from your raw marks. Normalisation is done because the exam is held in many shifts.
- If a community cut off is higher than the UR cut off in the PDF, it can be because that candidate was already selected against a community point in the earlier stage.
- Last cycle’s numbers are only for understanding the trend. They do not decide this year’s result.
Important Rule: Part A and Part B of CBT 2
CBT 2 has two parts. Part A marks are used for merit and for shortlisting. Part B is only qualifying (you must pass it, but its marks are not added to merit).
As per the CEN rules, candidates who scored above the cut off in Part A but did not qualify Part B are not shortlisted. So a high Part A score alone does not guarantee a place in the list. If your name is missing, check your scorecard first and see your Part B marks.
RRB ALP CBT 2 Exam Pattern (CEN 01/2025)
| Part / Subject | Questions / Marks / Duration |
| Part A — Mathematics | 25 Questions | 25 Marks |
| Part A — General Intelligence & Reasoning | 25 Questions | 25 Marks |
| Part A — Basic Science & Engineering | 40 Questions | 40 Marks |
| Part A — General Awareness & Current Affairs | 10 Questions | 10 Marks |
| Part A Total (Merit) | 100 Questions | 100 Marks | 90 Minutes |
| Part B — Relevant Trade (Qualifying) | 75 Questions | 75 Marks | 60 Minutes |
| Negative Marking | 1/3 mark deducted for every wrong answer |
| Minimum Marks in Part B | 35% for all candidates |
Minimum qualifying marks in Part A (as reported from the CEN): UR / EWS — 40%, OBC (NCL) — 30%, SC — 30%, ST — 25%.
Simple marks formula: Raw Marks = Correct Answers − (Wrong Answers ÷ 3). Final marks used in the result are normalised, so they may differ a little from your raw marks.
What Is CBAT? — The Next Big Step for ALP
CBAT means Computer Based Aptitude Test. It is the third stage and it is only for ALP candidates. It checks your natural ability and skills needed for running a locomotive, not your book knowledge.
- Dates: Any time after 25 October 2026. RRB will tell you through website, SMS and email.
- City slip: Comes about 10 days before the exam.
- Passing rule: You need a minimum T-score of 42 in each test battery, whatever your category is. If you miss 42 in even one battery, you are not qualified.
- No negative marking in CBAT as per earlier cycles’ pattern.
- Language: Hindi and English.
- Final merit for this cycle: 70% weight to CBT 2 Part A marks + 30% weight to CBAT score.
- Tie-break: If two candidates have equal marks, the elder candidate gets preference.
Important: In earlier ALP cycles, reports said RRBs shortlisted about 8 times the vacancy of each community for CBAT. The exact number for this cycle is written in your zone’s PDF, so please check it there.
CBAT Preparation Tips — Next 3 to 4 Weeks
- Practice on a computer, not only on paper. CBAT is a computer test and your speed on the screen matters.
- Do not ignore any battery. Since 42 is needed in each battery, one weak test can stop your selection.
- Practice every day for 30 to 45 minutes. Aptitude tests improve with regular practice.
- Stay calm and sleep well the night before. These tests need focus and reaction speed.
- Read the on-screen instructions fully before you start each test.
- Remember: CBAT counts for 30% of your final merit, so a good score can improve your final rank.
RRB ALP Selection Process 2026 — All Stages
