  • Only candidates who completed their qualifying examination as regular candidates are eligible to apply
  • Only candidates who passed the qualifying examination in the last 5 years (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 & 2026) are eligible

A) For ITI (Trade Apprentices):

  • Register on apprenticeshipindia.org
  • Log in to the home page as a candidate
  • Go to “Apprenticeship Opportunity”
  • Click “Search by Establishments Name” and search for “SAIL BHILAI STEEL PLANT”
  • Apply for your trade against the vacancy shown on the portal

B) For Degree/Diploma (Graduate/Technician Apprentices):

  • Register as a student on nats.education.gov.in
  • Log in to the home page of the NATS portal as a candidate
  • Go to “Establishment Requests,” then click “Find Establishments”
  • Select “Steel Authority of India Limited, Bhilai Steel Plant”
  • Apply in your passed-out branch of engineering/discipline shown on the portal

Important: The application will NOT be accepted without registration and applying on the portal first. After applying successfully, eligible candidates who meet the notified criteria must then walk-in as per the published schedule. Last date to apply on the respective portal: 20 October 2026.

Selection Process 2026

Depending on the vacancies available in various categories and disciplines, selection is carried out by shortlisting on the basis of academic merit through the walk-in process, with the following weightage:

SAIL BSP Apprentice Stipend 2026
