Selection Process 2026
- Stage 1: Offline written competitive exam — 100 marks, objective (MCQ) type, 2-hour duration
- Stage 2: Typing Test — qualifying in nature only, not included in merit
- Final Merit: The merit list will be prepared based on marks scored in the written exam
Important Points
- General, EWS, and OBC category candidates must score at least 45% marks, and SC/ST category candidates must score at least 35% marks to qualify
- If two or more candidates score equal marks, the older candidate (by age) gets preference
- There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer
- A candidate can apply for only one post (more than one online application will lead to rejection)

UKSSSC Inter Level 2026 Preparation Strategy
- Give top priority to General Knowledge of Uttarakhand — this section alone carries 40 marks, which is 40% of the total
- General Knowledge and General Studies (40 marks): Give equal focus to reasoning, history, geography, politics, economics, and basic computer knowledge
- General Hindi (20 marks): Practice spelling, sandhi, idioms and proverbs, and letter-writing formats well
- Avoid negative marking — attempt only the questions you are confident about, as 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer
- Keep practicing typing alongside your studies — a minimum speed of 4000 KDPH in Hindi only comes with regular practice
- Practice regular mock tests and previous years’ UKSSSC question papers
