Today’s Big Update – 7 Things Every Headmaster Aspirant Must Know

1. UPESSC has released the Headmaster Recruitment 2026 notification (Advertisement No. 09/2026) on 23 October 2026.
2. There are 1,172 vacancies: 1,037 in boys’ schools and 135 in girls’ schools.
3. All advertised vacancies are unreserved, as per the official notification.
4. You can apply online from 23 October to 22 November 2026. That gives you about 4 weeks.
5. The written exam is on 7 January 2027. It carries 360 marks, and the interview carries 40 marks.
6. The application fee is Rs. 1,500 for every category, and it is not refunded.

• Formula: Score = (Correct answers x 3) – (Wrong answers x 1)
• Example 1: 90 correct and 20 wrong = 270 – 20 = 250 marks.

Time Management in the Exam – 120 Questions in 2 Hours (Our Suggestion)

• You have 120 minutes for 120 questions, which is about 1 minute per question.
• First round (about 70 minutes): Solve all questions you know well. Skip the hard ones.
• Second round (about 35 minutes): Return to skipped questions. Try those where you can remove at least two options.
• Last 15 minutes: Check the OMR sheet. Make sure every bubble is fully filled and no question has two marks.
