- Enter your Ph.D. date, degree marks and test scores exactly as in your certificates, because scoring is done online on the data you fill
- Do not claim anything for which you do not have proof. Wrong claims can cancel your candidature
- Use clear PDFs and name your files simply. Check that each file opens properly
- Prepare a 10–15 minute teaching presentation on a core topic of your subject, as the presentation is part of the selection
- Revise your research work, publications and thesis, because interview questions may come from them
- Check the discipline-wise recruitment rules again just before final submission
- Print the final application and keep two copies safe
|
How to Prepare for Presentation and Interview
- Choose a topic from the undergraduate or postgraduate syllabus of your discipline and prepare simple slides with examples
- Practise timing. Speak slowly and clearly, and keep slides neat
- Be ready to answer basic and advanced questions from your subject
- Prepare 3–4 points about your research, your teaching ideas and your plan for DTU
- Know about DTU, its departments, research areas and recent achievements
- Dress neatly, be confident and honest in your answers
|
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Applying in the wrong discipline or without reading the discipline-wise rules
- Forgetting to submit a separate application and fee for each discipline
- Uploading a blurred photo or a photo with a coloured background
- Counting guest faculty or very short jobs as experience
- Giving wrong dates for your Ph.D., degree or experience
- Paying the fee but not submitting the final form, or not saving the final PDF
- Missing the deadline because of website traffic on the last day
|
Important Warnings
- Apply only through the official DTU website and portal. Do not trust agents who promise selection for money
- Do not share your login details or OTP with anyone
- Read the official advertisement PDF fully. Details such as qualification rules, experience criteria and reservation are given there
- Dates and rules can be changed by a corrigendum. Keep checking the DTU website until the last date
- DTU had another notice earlier for Professor and Assistant Professor of Practice (Training and Placement), which closed on 7 September 2026. That is a different notice and not part of Advt 04/2026
