GSSSB Laboratory Assistant Exam Pattern (As Reported for Advt. 327/2025-26)
|
| Part and Subject |
Marks |
| Part A — Reasoning and Data Interpretation |
30 |
| Part A — Quantitative Aptitude |
30 |
| Part B — Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati and English Comprehension |
30 |
| Part B — Subject-related Technical Questions |
120 |
| Total |
210 marks (210 questions, 180 minutes) |
| Negative Marking |
0.25 mark for each wrong answer |
| Note: The pattern comes from education portals that summarised the advertisement. Please check the marks and the qualifying rules in the official advertisement. For a different lab recruitment, 40% marks in each part was reported, so please confirm for yours. |
How to Calculate Your Marks Using the Answer Key
|
- Download your response sheet and compare your answer with the provisional correct answer for each question
- Count your correct, wrong and unattempted answers
- Give 1 mark for each correct answer, as the paper has 210 questions for 210 marks (reported)
- Deduct 0.25 mark for each wrong answer. Unattempted questions give 0
- Estimated score = correct answers − (wrong answers × 0.25)
|
Example of Marks Calculation (Imaginary Numbers)
|
| Item |
Number |
| Correct answers |
150 |
| Wrong answers |
40 |
| Unattempted |
20 |
| Negative marks (40 × 0.25) |
10 |
| Estimated score |
150 − 10 = 140 out of 210 (about 66.7%) |
| Note: This example is only for learning and is not a real candidate’s score. Your estimated score can change if GSSSB changes any answer in the final key. |
Provisional Answer Key vs Final Answer Key (Simple Explanation)
|
- Provisional answer key: the first key that the board publishes. It is open to objections from candidates
- Final answer key: the key published after subject experts check the valid objections. The result is made from the final key
- So the score you calculate now is only an estimate. It can go up or down if some answers are changed or dropped
- If an answer is changed in the final key, the change applies to all candidates, not only to those who raised an objection
|
| Note: The last point is the usual practice in recruitment exams. Please read the official notice for GSSSB’s exact rules. |
Why Do Answer Keys Change After Objections?
|
- A question may have more than one correct option, or no correct option
- A question may have a printing or translation mistake, because the paper is in more than one language
- The first key may have a marking error
- Experts may find that a different answer is correct after checking textbooks and references
- This is why a good objection must have clear proof
|
How to Use the Answer Key Wisely (Our Suggestions)
|
- Calculate your estimated score carefully, with negative marking
- Do not guess the cut-off from social media. The board has not announced it in the sources we checked
- Keep your response sheet PDF safe, because you may need it later
- While you wait, prepare for the next stages, such as document verification, and keep your certificates ready
- Keep checking the official GSSSB website for the final key, result and other notices
|
