OBC ₹100

ST Nil
PwBD Nil

Payment Modes Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, Wallet

Money Cut but No Confirmation?

  • Use the Verify Payment option on the portal
  • Check the first payment before paying again, because duplicate payments may not be refunded
  • Fee is non-refundable. Transaction charges are paid by the candidate

Selection Process & Merit Calculation

  1. Step 1 – Online application on the RRC CR portal
  2. Step 2 – Merit: Class 10 % and ITI % have equal weight
  3. Step 3 – Merit lists: Made cluster-wise, unit-wise, trade-wise and community-wise. There is no one common list for all 2,861 slots
  4. Step 4 – Document verification at the opted Division / Unit
  5. Step 5 – Medical fitness certificate
  6. Step 6 – Engagement as apprentice

Merit Formula

  • Merit % = (Class 10 aggregate % + ITI %) ÷ 2
  • Example: Class 10 = 80%, ITI = 90% → 85%
  • Tie: older candidate is preferred. If birth date is also same, the one who passed Matriculation earlier is placed higher

If Your Board Gives Grades, Not Marks

  • Use the midpoint of the marks range of your overall grade
  • Example: overall grade range 80–89% → midpoint = 84.5%
  • If no overall grade is given, average the midpoints of subject-grade ranges
  • Follow the conversion rules on pages 2 and 3 of the PDF. Wrong calculation can lead to rejection
Note: There is no separate written exam or interview. This is not an RRB CBT exam.
