Quick Summary: What Has HSSC Announced?

On 28 October 2026, HSSC Chairman Himmat Singh said that the Commission will soon release a new recruitment advertisement for about 8,000 posts in different Haryana Government departments. He also said that preparations are going on for the CET Phase-II written exam for about 14,000 posts that have already been advertised.

This is an announcement, not the final notification. The number of posts, post names, qualification, age limit, fee and last date will be clear only when HSSC publishes the official advertisement on hssc.gov.in. As reported, you will need a valid Haryana CET scorecard to apply for Group C and Group D posts.

Four things to know right now:

  • Today is 29 October 2026. As of today, no official application link is active for the 8,000-post recruitment.
  • Check that your CET scorecard is still valid. For example, the Group D CET held on 12 January 2024 is valid only until 11 January 2027.
  • Earlier HSSC application windows were short (about 7 to 15 days). Keep your documents ready before the notice comes.
  • Use only the official website www.hssc.gov.in. Do not pay money to anyone who promises a job.

How HSSC Recruitment Works Now — Simple 3-Step Picture

Step What Happens Simple Meaning
Step 1 — CET HSSC holds a Common Eligibility Test (CET) separately for Group C and Group D posts. This is the entry ticket. You need a valid CET score to apply.
Step 2 — Advertisement When departments send vacancies, HSSC issues an advertisement. Candidates with a valid CET score apply online. This is where the new 8,000-post advertisement comes in.
Step 3 — Selection For Group C: CET Phase-II written exam, then skill test (where needed) and document verification. For Group D: shortlisting by CET score. Final selection depends on the post type.
  • Group C posts need a Group C CET score (10+2 level exam). Group D posts need a Group D CET score (Matric level exam).
  • A CET score is valid for 3 years from the result date (as reported). A better score in a later attempt resets the validity.
  • For Group D posts, the CET score has 100% weightage in the merit list. In case of a tie, the older candidate gets preference.
  • Selection for Group C follows the CET Policy of the Haryana Government (dated 31.12.2024 and its amendment dated 11.07.2025), as mentioned in earlier ads.

Check Your CET Score Validity Today

CET Exam Score Validity (as reported) Days Left from 29 Oct 2026
Group D CET held on 12 January 2024 Valid until 11 January 2027 About 74 days (10 weeks)
Group D CET 2026 (Advt. 05/2026, advertised 18 June 2026) 3 years from result declaration Check your result date and scorecard
Group C CET (Advt. 01/2025) 3 years from result declaration Check your scorecard for the result date
  • If you qualified the Group D CET on 12 January 2024, your marks (out of 95) will be converted to a percentage so they can be compared with newer candidates.
  • If your score is going to expire soon, apply as soon as the new advertisement opens.
  • Keep your CET roll number, registration details and scorecard PDF safe. You will need them to log in.
  • If you have no valid CET score, you cannot apply for these CET-based posts. Watch the HSSC website for the next CET notice.
Note: Validity dates come from the HSSC CET advertisements as reported by news portals. Always check the exact date on your own scorecard and on hssc.gov.in.

Who Can Apply? — Expected Eligibility Based on Earlier HSSC Advertisements

The new advertisement will give the final rules. Until then, this is what HSSC used in its earlier 2026 CET Phase-II advertisements. Use it only as a guide.

  • Exam pattern and marking can change in the new advertisement. Please follow it.

Selection Process — Step by Step (As Reported)

  1. Shortlisting by CET score: Candidates with a valid CET score who apply are considered.
  2. CET Phase-II written exam (Group C): An OMR-based exam for the posts advertised.
  3. Skill test (where needed): Some posts need a skill or typing test, as given in the advertisement.
  4. Document verification: Original documents are checked. Any mismatch can cancel your candidature.
  5. Final merit list and allotment of department: As per the CET policy and your post preferences.
Note: The exact process for each post will be given in the new advertisement. For Group D, selection is through the CET merit list.

How to Apply — Expected Steps When the Notification Comes

  1. Visit the official website www.hssc.gov.in and open the Advertisements / What’s New section.
  2. Read the full advertisement: post list, qualification, age, syllabus and rules.
  3. Click the online application link for the new advertisement number.
  4. Log in with your Haryana CET registration details (the CET portal is reported as onetimeregn.haryana.gov.in).
  5. Fill in personal, education and category details. Choose your post preferences carefully.
  6. Upload your photo, signature and documents. Pay the fee only if the ad asks for it.
  7. Submit the form, and print or save the confirmation page.

Important tips:

  • Earlier HSSC ads used a separate application link for each advertisement (for example, a web address with the ad number). Take the link only from hssc.gov.in.
  • Do not apply more than once for the same advertisement. Multiple forms can lead to rejection.
  • Use the same mobile number and email ID as in your CET registration.
  • Check all details before the final submit. Corrections may not be allowed later.

Documents to Keep Ready Before the Notification

  • Haryana CET scorecard, roll number and registration number
  • Matric (10th) certificate showing Hindi or Sanskrit as a subject, and date of birth
  • 10+2 / graduation / other education certificates (as the post needs)
  • Haryana residence / domicile proof and Haryana Family ID, if the advertisement asks for it
  • Category certificate (SC / BC-A / BC-B / ESM / DSC / OSC etc.) in the Haryana Government format
  • EWS certificate (income and asset), if you claim EWS
  • PwD certificate or Ex-Serviceman documents, if applicable
  • Computer course certificate or typing proof, if a post needs it
  • Aadhaar card, active mobile number and email ID
  • Recent passport-size photograph and signature (scanned, in the size given in the ad)
Note: Get missing certificates now. Category and residence certificates can take days to issue, and application windows may be short.

Preparation Tips for HSSC CET Phase-II and Group D

  • Start now, do not wait: CET Phase-II is already being prepared for 14,000 posts, and 8,000 more posts are coming. Competition will be high.
  • Know your paper level: Group C is 10+2 level. Group D is Matric level.
  • Study the five main areas: General Awareness, Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, English and Hindi. Add Computer Knowledge for Group C.
  • General Awareness: Read current affairs, and give extra time to Haryana GK: districts, culture, schemes, history and administration.
  • Maths and Reasoning: Practise percentage, ratio, average, profit and loss, time and work, number series, coding-decoding and puzzles every day.
  • English and Hindi: Revise grammar, vocabulary and short comprehension passages.
  • Practise on OMR sheets: Practise filling the circles neatly. Mistakes on an OMR sheet cannot be corrected.
  • Time practice: Take full 100-question mock tests in 105 minutes.
  • Use previous papers: Solve earlier HSSC CET papers and check your weak topics.
  • Check your score and improve it: If your CET score is low or near expiry, think about appearing in the next CET. A better score resets the validity.

Beware of Fake Links and Job Agents

  • HSSC will publish the advertisement only on www.hssc.gov.in. Do not trust links shared on WhatsApp, Telegram or social media without checking the official site.
  • No one can get you a Haryana Government job for money. If someone asks for money, do not pay.
  • Some job sites show “Apply Online” buttons that only open a social-media group or channel. These are not application links.
  • Pay a fee only through the official application page, and only if the official advertisement says so.
