SKMU Result 2026 Out, UG, PG, B.Ed, MBA/MCA Results RESULT OUT

Sido Kanhu Murmu University (SKMU), Dumka has published a number of semester results on its official examination portal. The portal has two tabs — “Available Results” and “Upcoming Results”. Students of UG, PG, B.Ed, MBA/MCA and some other courses can open the Available Results tab, select their course and semester, enter their details and see their provisional result on the screen.

SKMU does not release every result on the same day. It releases results course by course, and the notice list on the university website keeps changing. So please do not worry if your result is not yet visible. Check the Upcoming Results tab and the notices on skmu.ac.in every few days.

One important point: the online result is provisional. The portal itself says it cannot be treated as an original mark sheet. The university issues the original mark sheet separately. This guide explains which results are available, how to check them, how to avoid common mistakes, and what to do if you find an error.

Quick Help — What to Choose in Each Box

  • Course Type: UG for B.A, B.Sc, B.Com and similar courses; PG for M.A, M.Sc, M.Com; B.Ed for teacher education; MBA/MCA for management and computer applications
  • Semester / Year: Choose the semester whose exam you gave, not the semester you are currently studying
  • Stream: Arts, Science, Commerce or the exact subject as shown in the list
  • Exam Year: This is the year in which the exam was held (for example, “Exam 2025” for a semester exam held in 2025), not the year of your session
  • Session: For example 2025-2029 means you joined in 2025 and your four-year course ends in 2029
  • A wrong choice in any one box can make the result not appear. If your result does not show, re-check each box one by one

Colleges Covered on the Portal (As Per Reference Page)

  • Deoghar College
  • A.S. College, Deoghar
  • Godda College
  • Sahibganj College
  • S.P. College, Dumka
  • University Departments, Dumka
  • The list may include more colleges. Please select your own college carefully when the form asks for it

What Does the SKMU Result Show?

Compare every detail with your admit card, registration card and college record. If something looks wrong, contact your college and the university examination department with proof.

  • Student name, roll number and registration number
  • Course, semester and exam year
  • Subject-wise marks (theory, internal and practical, as per your course)
  • Total marks and result status
  • Remarks, if any

Important Instructions from the Portal

  • The online result is provisional. It cannot be treated as an original mark sheet
  • The university says it has taken care in preparing results, but errors can occur because of database linkage or other unintentional reasons. Please verify your result
  • If your registration number is marked “A/F” or shows any error, the portal note says you must get it corrected at the university examination department within 10 days of the result’s publication
  • Choose the correct semester, stream and exam year. A wrong selection can make the result fail to appear
  • Original mark sheets are issued separately by the university. Collect them as per the university’s notice

What To Do If You See an Error in Your Result

  • Do not panic. First check that you have selected the correct course, semester, stream and exam year
  • Take a screenshot or printout of the result showing the error
  • Gather your admit card, registration card, internal marks sheet and college ID
  • Meet your college principal or exam in-charge and tell them about the error
  • Visit or write to the university examination department with proof, and ask for correction
  • If the error is about the registration number (A/F), do this within 10 days of the publication, as the portal says
  • Keep a copy of your application and the acknowledgement. Follow up regularly

Revaluation / Scrutiny — What You Should Know

  • If you are not happy with your marks, check whether the university has announced a revaluation or scrutiny schedule for your result
  • The schedule, fee and method are given in the official notice on skmu.ac.in. We have not written any date or fee here because they are not confirmed in the sources we reviewed
  • Apply within the given time. Late applications are normally not accepted
  • Marks can go up, stay the same or come down after revaluation, so decide carefully
  • Keep your fee receipt and application copy until the revaluation result comes

Understanding NEP-2020 Semester Results in Simple Words

  • Under NEP-2020, UG courses are of four years (8 semesters), and the session is written like 2025-2029
  • Each semester has different course types, such as Major, Minor, Multi-Disciplinary, Ability Enhancement, Skill Enhancement and Value-Added courses, as per the university scheme
  • Your result shows marks for each paper and your overall status in that semester
  • A student may have results listed for different sessions at the same time, such as 2022-26, 2023-27, 2024-28 and 2025-29, because the university conducts exams for many batches
  • Always check the session and exam year in your result link. This is the most common reason for confusion

Next Steps After Checking Your Result

  • If you passed: Download your result and keep it safe. Watch for the next semester exam form and fee dates
  • If you have a back paper: Check the notice for the backlog exam form and fill it on time
  • If there is an error: Follow the steps above and contact your college and the examination department quickly
  • If you are in the final semester: Keep your result ready for job forms, PG admissions and competitive exams
  • For B.Ed and MBA/MCA students: Keep your result for internship, placement and further study applications
  • Always collect your original mark sheet when it is available and keep it in a safe place

Study Tips for the Next Semester

  • Download the latest syllabus from skmu.ac.in or ask your department for the FYUGP syllabus of your subject
  • Make a weekly study plan and revise every weekend
  • Solve previous year question papers to understand the exam pattern
  • Keep your internal assessments and attendance in order, because they affect your final marks
  • Form small study groups with classmates and discuss difficult topics
  • Use the gap between semesters to learn useful skills such as computer, communication and subject-based skills

Common Problems and Easy Solutions

  • Result not showing: Check the course, semester, stream and exam year again. Also check the “Upcoming Results” tab
  • Portal slow or not opening: Try early morning or late at night, or use Chrome on a laptop
  • Roll number not accepted: Type it exactly as on your admit card. Remove spaces
  • Not sure about exam year: Look at your admit card. The exam year is the year in which the exam was held
  • Registration number shows A/F: Contact the university examination department within 10 days, as per the portal note
  • Marks look wrong: Take a screenshot and follow the steps in the error section above
  • PDF not saving on mobile: Use the Print option and choose “Save as PDF”

Important Warnings

  • Use only the official portal exam.skmu.ac.in and the university website skmu.ac.in
  • Do not share your roll number, registration number or other personal details with unknown persons
  • Beware of agents and apps that promise to “increase marks” or provide marksheets for money. This is a scam
  • Dates, lists and rules can change. Check the university notices regularly
  • This article is based on the reference page and public reports reviewed on 29 October 2026. If any detail differs, the official SKMU portal and notices are final
