The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have activated the Exam City Intimation link for the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) under CEN 01/2025. The link was reported to go live on 20 October 2026 from 6:00 PM. The CBAT is the third and final stage of this recruitment and it is fixed for 30 October 2026, as per the RRB notice dated 1 October 2026.
The city intimation slip tells you your exam city and exam date. SC and ST candidates can also download their free travel authority from the same link. The slip is not an admit card. The e-call letter, which carries your centre address and instructions, is expected about 4 days before the exam. In this post we explain, in very simple words, how to download the slip, what to carry, why the Vision Certificate is so important, and how to plan your journey.

What Is the CBAT? (Simple Explanation) |
|
|
The Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) is the last test for the Assistant Loco Pilot post in this recruitment. It is sometimes called the ALP psycho test. Only candidates who cleared CBT 1 and CBT 2 and were shortlisted on 1 October 2026 can appear in it. RRB has also put out an official mock test for the CBAT. As reported, it is available in English and Hindi, and it is for the ALP post only. One education portal reports that there is no negative marking in the mock. Please read the official notice for the exact rules of the real test. |
|
| Note: We have not copied the full CBAT pattern here because the sources we could open do not list it in detail. Please follow the official RRB notice and the official mock test. | |
Documents to Carry on 30 October 2026 |
|
| Document | What to Remember |
| E-Call Letter printout | Clear and complete printout with all pages |
| Original photo ID | The same ID you gave in your application. A photocopy will not work |
| Original Vision Certificate | In the fixed format (Annexure VIA of CEN 01/2025). Original copy is a must |
| Aadhaar | Keep it in the unlocked state so that verification is not a problem |
| Passport size photograph | As told on your e-call letter |
| Travel Authority (SC/ST) | Downloaded along with the city slip |
| Note: The final document list is on your e-call letter. If it is different from this list, always follow the e-call letter. | |
Why the Vision Certificate Is So Important |
|
|
The RRB CBAT notice, as reported, says that candidates must bring the original Vision Certificate in the fixed format (Annexure VIA of the CEN 01/2025 notification). A candidate who does not have it will not be allowed to appear in the exam. The Assistant Loco Pilot post is a safety job, so good eyesight is checked at every stage. |
